2 duffed flops and a few under powered putts cost me a few shots in round 2. Could only manage -6 so puts me at -16 going into the weekend. I imagine that will be around top 20 for now so fairly happy.

Just finished my 2 first rounds. Had winds of 3-6 rd1 and like 4-9 rd2. Had the pressure on myself as I'm currently 97 in the world and top 90 makes masters (got a T25 so far at the Euro tour this week to cash in so should see me bump up into the 80s hopefully and so I was thinking play PGA this week with higher strength of field and make the cut and that should hopefully lock up the top 90 with the Euro stop to factor in). Rd1 -5. Chip in eagle on the first par 5 and only one bogey for the day but also butchered 2 par 5s tho including the easy last. If you had of given me -5 at the start of round I would have taken it tho. Thinking -10 give or take will be cut. Rd2 -7 got off to a hot start with 3 birds in a row then 2 pars and birdied 6 to be -4 after 6. Made turn -6 and then bogeyed the next par 3 mustered only two more birds to get -7. Happy with first 2 days and time will tell if -12 is good enough (sitting 2nd after 2rds on PS4 with DLW1964 at -13). Looking good but early days and anything can happen

I skip this tournament this week I had to play that way I could justify my complaints about the set-up. That way nobody could saying I'm complaining because I can't play those conditions. Good luck in Rd 3 & 4

Even par Rd 1 and -9 Rd 2. Quite a difference eh? I basically(excuse me language) got completely f'd over on putting in rd 1. I probably missed 4-5 putts from inside 5 feet that showed a break on the grid lines only to have the put not move an inch when I hit it. It felt like a crap-shoot putting in round 1, felt like I had no idea what putts were going to do. Oh well, hopefully my -9 in round 2 saves me lol.

Rd 1: -4 Nothing spectacular here, just ok golf. Rd 2: -7 Wild round on this one. Took a double on #9 after a 91% tee shot hit the water and also had 2 more bogeys scattered in. On the flip side, I holed out for eagle on one of the par 4's combined with 9 more birdies. I feel like I play much better against the field on these types of courses for some reason. I just can't keep up when they are shoot-outs like the past few weeks.

After a great first round at -9 (63) where I only had 2 shots at 90-93% power, the game decided to crush me with about 12 90-93% power shots the second round, and thus I limped in with a -2 (70). There's just no way to compete when this happens. I know the people who don't suffer from this have zero empathy for those who suffer from it, but it's a game changer and completely frustrating. I have to keep up these posts because I'm still on the verge of not playing The Golf Club anymore. If HB doesn't care to fix it, I won't be supporting them. They make an incredible golf game, but can't make controller inputs match, systems match, prevent ball squirting, or the 92% power issue. These are deal breakers for me...and with the only fun remaining is playing on TGCTours...if I can't compete here because of these issues which don't impact every player, then why bother trying anymore.

I know it has been discussed to death! But I only ever get 1 90% shot every 10-15 rounds... Always seems to me that those that get it must be doing something different but who knows!

It flares up for me. I can go 7-8 rounds without a single one and then all of a sudden I'll get a bunch on 1 round. Usually, that 1 round will frustrate me enough to where I take a break and come back later and it's fine again.

The first post doesn't say that.it says to make sure to play the correct ones.Under tours the only TGC is something else and a search for Valero only brings up practice.
Anyone that's actually played that can help?

-3 In the first round, 2nd round was going well at -5 after 15 but then Bogey Bogey left me having to make an eagle on 18 to save my -5
-8 for the 2 rounds. Thats going to be close for the cut line

A very refreshing week to not have to worry about making birdie on every single hole. 65 and 61 in rounds 1 and 2 to put me at -18, which I think will make the cut. Round 3 was a disappointing 67. The hole locations on round 3 are the most difficult of this tournament I'd say. My final round I played really well and shot a 62, but I made a par on the last hole, so that may cost me some positions. -33 for the week I'll guess may end up as a top 10. Who knows with all the great players on here though?
The firm/fast settings are a great idea by the way. The roll out is a very tough yet rewarding challenge. With proper shot modification and some lucky bounces, whether it be out of rough or off the fairway, good scores can be attained. I like that GIR is way down also. Some holes you have to work to make par instead of just having an easy birdie.
