Welp guys...I think I owe you guys an apology this week. I had notes on this course for the designer to fix a few things before we put it up on tour. For some reason it slipped my mind and I submitted it as is. For the most part, I found it to be a fun but challenging grind (I'm thru 3 rounds). However, there are a few pins out there that will surely get some attention. Specifically hole 16 in round 3. You'll know it when you get there. You guys deserve better then this and I let one slip through the cracks this week. Sorry guys.
-16 thru 2, -23 thru 3.

My bad guys.
Do not go pin hunting on 16 in rounds 3 or 4. Play it to the center and carefully 2 putt back. Appreciate if you could post this advice in you society message boards.

Everyone has to play the same thing so it’s no big deal. -12, -8, -10, -11 for -41. That course is not easy at all.

The whole way through this one I was thinking "was this rangered?". Oh well. Best of luck everyone on #16, you'll need it

-17 for me at the halfway point.
Missed the shortest putt I've ever missed on the 17th in round 2, mainly because I've never experienced that much yellow in the grid as I hit it. I experienced a ton of questionable issues and I'm not even into what's supposedly worse on the 3rd and 4th... this is to me is a truly beautiful course and a fun play thats tainted by pin placement....
Im usually on board with the "we're all playing the same course mindset"(how I felt about the Fairyland criticism)....but I cant quite get behind that when its a matter of balls hitting within the 9box grid and still facing comical angles. I have no idea if -17 gets me to the cut, good luck to all.

-38 for the cow. Pins in round 4 gave me the most trouble but I missed 2 easy birdie putts early in the 4th that stuck with me. Good luck to everyone

Very meh opening -5 in round 1. Overall played much better but I missed way to many Makeable putts. Really shot myself in the foot at times. Will need a much better round 2 to keep my made cut streak alive

Got off to a nice start round 2 and was -5 through 8 and then a 3 putt par on 9 seemed to derail me. Finished -7 and -12 at the cut. Can’t imagine that makes the cut

oh man... conundrum. risk 2 greenies on a hit and hope short putt contest? but there's only 5 weeks in the season- so does it really matter if the greenies get obliterated?

Bonjour,
this course is so deceiving. The front nine plays much easier than the back nine, and I let myself be lulled into thinking that I had a solid round in the bag twice. First round -4 with three bogeys on 11, 13, and 14. Then sheer luck in round 2, as I sank a long putt for birdie on 17 and then holed out on 18 to save a -7 which really was not deserved.
11 under at the cut for me, good luck guys!

After writing the above and reading about hole 16, I couldn't resist to give round 3 a try. I can confirm that one path to bogey on 16 is as follows:
1. Get into the bunker on the right hand side by means of a very slow downswing. 2. Land the flop shot to the left of the pin by underestimating the lie in the bunker and let the ball roll down, off the green. 3. Using another flop shot, hit the flag in such a way (and now comes the tricky part) that the ball comes to rest immediately at 2 ft from the pin. 4. Sink the short putt, not worrying about the yellow slope.
Feel free to replicate. Cheers.
