4.49am: I can confirm that you can play any club types you want as long as you adhere to the No Driver, all the irons and only one wedge. The pro clubs data on the sheet was me just trying to be helpful with the pitching and punching yardages which I had spent some time putting together and thought others might appreciate.

Administrative bodies (including Ministry For Silly Walks) please be advised: I will be starting my Parrots career as a member of the Challenge Circuit Amateur Tour. I understand there will be a necessity to provide photographic evidence of my parrot rounds pertaining to the relevant "Pro Tour" schedule. Note: Said rounds will be played Tuesdays (first 2 rounds) & Thursdays (final 2 rounds). To conclude >>>>>>

I see this bright yellow and red parrot standing what appears to be low to the ground surrounded by green, oblivoius to its surroundings.
I understand now where the dead parrots come from.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. Simon, you plonker!! 😂

Inspired by the "Old School Golfing" video of Frans & Greg I decided to shuffle my bag and head out to Hoodoo Hills. Think someone nobbled my niblicks though 'cos I ended up -1 after 9 holes It was a bit of a novelty at first, but then I found myself cursing when a required club wasn't available to me. All in all though it was a reasonably pleasant experience and something a bit different. Couldn't wait to re-stock the bag though when I got back. Will be interesting to see what everyone thinks following our first competitive foray next week.

Would be good to be able to have different bags to stop this happening.

The Spanish Inquisition have secretly agreed to play our "Something Completely Different" round together at a globally suitable time using a newfangled technology called "Twitch" ... (more details to follow).
Hoodoo be the venue, Voodoo be the menu (circa 1907 - anonymous).

I just discovered this and I must say that I am slightly disillusioned for not having been included or even informed.

Dead Parrots Society - Season One - Week 1 5th July 2020 to 11th July 2020
Dear honeybadger64 SkyBlueBen evilgrin72 Celtic Wolf fransslabak Riotous bogeyman sid snott katana22 Loftyando inflames47 SAM Crazy Croc cappy1 Art Vandelay IGolfBad
Welcome to Week 1 of something completely different...well at least a bit different, more later. I'd like to thank all who have worked feverishly behind the scenes to get this up and running so quickly, There's been a fair bit of blood, sweat and tears shed!! Over the next seven weeks we will be trialling various ideas that were originally envisaged with PGA 2K21 in mind. We hope you will like the varied events that have been put in place and welcome your feedback and suggestions on how the experience may be improved. We hope you will enjoy the Monty Python theme and have great fun being a Dead Parrot. Without further ado I will introduce next week's events:-
Event 1 - Team Competition (Total Score)
This will take place at Dead Parrot Mike's katana22 Amaroo Bay which is the course selected for CC-Pro this week by TGCT. In a format familiar to all you will need to play all 4 rounds of the event with scorecards/summaries posted by those not being in CC-Pro. Your scores should be posted in this thread but there is no need to tag the scorer. Greg will pick up the scores on his regular sweeps. You are reminded that the first 2 rounds MUST be posted by Wednesday evening your local time.
Event 2 - Society (2 Rounds Individual) 5th July 2020 to 8th July 2020
For the opening week we will be visiting the latest creation of Dead Parrot Sam Riotous I'm sure the choice had nothing to do with Sam being on the course selection committee or anything to do with unusual transactions that have been discovered by our Auditor's following examination of Pete's bogeyman bank statements. Purely there on merit. It will be a straightforward 2 rounds of stroke play. Rounds must be completed by 8th July. I apologise for the schedule being tight but it will ease to a 7 day window later in the season. We welcome your scores being posted to the thread but they can also be picked up from the Society leaderboards. You can play these rounds on a system other than the one you are registered with TGCT but we do ask you to inform us if you are doing this.
Event 3 - Society (1 Round Team) 9th July 2020 to 11th July 2020
And this is where we get to Something Completely Different. For this week we will be donning our very best Upper Class Twit outfit and heading to Dr Yeti's Hoodoo Hills Par 72 for some Old School Golfing made famous by Frans fransslabak and Greg honeybadger64 Have a look at Frans' Twitch channel (fransslabak on Twitch) to see two old farts showing you how it's done. It will consist of 1 round of stroke play which can be played individually or as a group. You don't have to be members of the same team, you could use a bit of live play to nobble (or is that nibble) your rivals. The clubs you are allowed in your bag are as detailed below:- Round must be completed by 11th July. Again, I apologise for the schedule being tight but it will ease to a 7 day window later in the season. We welcome your scores being posted to the thread but they can also be picked up from the Society leaderboards. You can play these rounds on a system other than the one you are registered with TGCT but we do ask you to inform us if you are doing this. We hope that your Society rounds may be played live if at all possible and streamed on Twitch and live recordings shared on the thread. Paul sid snott will be along tomorrow morning with the opening match up's. Hopefully he'll have sacked Septic Peg and got a decent pundit on board!
