Ambling up to the First tee chewing on a grisly Otter Nose i look down at what I assume is a creature of the local wildlife, maybe a bear or a donkey. “What you looking at” it grunts at me, “errr” i splutter as I realise it’s human, “I’m looking for the People’s front of Judea”, “@!$# off” he says “We’re the Judean People’s Front” And that’s how I met my opponent for Rd3, to be fair to Mark he scrubbed up quite well once he arrived on the tee for our match. I’m yet to find out what he scored, the banter was light as we strolled the fairways, but that all changed on the 16th. I was looking for Marks ball in the lake when he brushed past me and I fell in, he put his hand out to pull me up but in doing so held my head under the water, how we laughed afterwards at this unfortunate turn of events, if i’d fallen in anything deeper than ankle high water then the situation could have been very different, come to think of it Mark wasn’t laughing at all, how odd. Played well in Rd3, holed lots of curling putts Played average in Rd4, holed no curly putts Some of the greens are beyond a joke SkyBlueBen

May need to wait for the photo SkyBlueBen Or not as you watched the stream & updated the scoreboard on the fly (looked good that live by the way). Anywho! For the record here's my Element 1 (paired) rounds. Tremendous recovery & fight back down the stretch for a share of the points round 1. Round 2: sitting on 5 under par through 11 chasing -9 (again) before a damn "very (HB) fast" on the short par 4, 12th which put me in the water down the right.... (double bogey). Rallied to 7 under but there was no cigar waiting for me in the clubhouse!!

SkyBlueBen 2nd round @ Old Olkham -4 I was having an okay round and sitting at -4 through the front 9, I couldn't improve on it over the next 3 holes as I parred them all. Back to back birdies on 13 and 14 had me at -6 with 4 to play and -8 was the target at that point. A very rare very slow on my approach on the 16th seen my ball veer to the left and into the water, the next approach fared better but still didn't make the green which led to a double bogey. I managed 2 birdies on the first two par 5's but couldn't get any to go in on the par 3's.

Oh boy. I'm on the horns of a dilemma.
Got an e-mail today from TGC Tours, saying the following :
Hi John, Please change your surname - we've had a member write in that Bollocks is an offensive term in their region - since we're a global site we're going to request you change it and we'll return your CC-A tour card once you comply. Thanks.
I don't know what to do here. Forgo my long-standing TGC identity or my CC-A tour card.

For now, I changed my surname to "." Don't know for sure if that will fly, but if it does, henceforth, I will simply be Johnny . on TGC Tours. You can still call me "Bollocks" though.

I thought Johnny was the offensive word wow some people really get their togas in a twist. Why not change it to Johnny Cumalot? What a load of bollocks.

I don't know what to do here. Forgo my long-standing TGC identity or my CC-A tour card. It's quite funny as Bollocks is a real surname with a coat of arms and all. There's a few names that if I was a sensitive soul I could find offensive.

I wish it was my real surname..... I just feel sorry for whomever has so little going on that they took the time to complain about it.
