Element 2 Two Round Individual
Round 1: -14 played well and everything rolled in.
Round 2: -4 didn't play to bad but everything rolled an inch or so the wrong way.

Because my trusted sheriff's failed to pick up the tag omission Your trusted sheriff was under the distinct impression that that was not needed for event 2... 🤔 As everyone is joining in and reporting the scores I may as well pick them up from the thread. The only trouble with the Societies is I can only see the final scores of the 2 systems I haven't played on until after the event is completed.

SkyBlueBen 1st round @ Old Olkham -9 I'm happy with that, the conditions suit my game more as there's less roll out making it easier to get close. A bogey free round although I only picked up a birdie on one par 5 and one par 3 at either end of the round. I remember playing this when it first came out and enjoyed playing it now as much as I did back then.

With a day of real-life golf tomorrow I thought I'd better get caught up with some of my rounds. First up was Round 2 at Kallen Island. I made 150ft of putts and a chip-in but unfortunately I was always chasing the par when I holed most of the footage. I had an eagle and five birdies sandwiching a bogey in the first 7 holes but then got on the par train, almost never finding the correct tier and constantly hitting 85ft putts up steep slopes, until a late rally saw me card -9 for the round and sitting at -15 at the halfway stage. Not wanting to jinx myself for the singles I swapped over to Old Olkham for the Sunshine and Showers Tour. The rain didn't dampen my spirits as I made the most of the opportunities presented to me and carded the same -10 for my first round as Pete and Frans to sit one shot adrift of Sam. The windy and wet second round was just a slog. I grew tired of hitting 1-irons and 3-irons into strong headwinds on the long par-4s and dropped a couple of shots to finish -6 on Round 2. This edged out Pete and tied my Old School Golf pal but was some way adrift of Sam. Sixteen under was alright but not in the same postcode as the better players. SkyBlueBen

honeybadger64Take off my incredibly lucky Hole in One on a tough short Par 4 and we're all very much in the same Post Code Side note - Genuinely disappointed to wake up and see katana22 second round score, no one will play better than he did in Rd1. Great second round by inflames47 too

Rd 1 @ Kallen Island -7 Not to bad, a double bogey took the shine off a bit. A double digit score was possible. -11 for the first rd @ Old Olkham Village which means there's still a chance to keep up with the top guys Got another green lightening bolt to take me up to E I nearly forgot SkyBlueBen

SkyBlueBen Element 2 This is a huge complaint the organizers really screwed up with these conditions first of all when the Judean Peoples Front teed off all the brollys had been claimed by the Spanish Inquisition damn inquisitors. Secondly and most importantly all the spam sandwiches were sold out I am blaming the Romans for this as they had wrapped them in their togas as they were going to Caligula's deabauchery coming out party. Anyway played well for a change as I thought to get theses rounds in as practice for myself. Rd1 -10 Rd2 -11 total -21 on PS4

SkyBlueBenRound 3 at Kallen was again nearly great, but for one hiccup. Started off hot with 7 birdies and 2 pars on the front 9, including, FINALLY, a par at #5. After a par at 10, I managed to birdie my other nemesis, the 11th, with a fantastic approach that nearly went in and left a tap-in birdie. Birdied 12, missed an eagle on 13 by a pube, and then took a dump on 14. Tee shot got absolutely swallowed up by the wind and deposited me in light rough just off the fringe. I waffled between chipping and putting - only 6 yards to the hole made chipping perilous (for me at least) but putting out of the rough and through the fringe is just so unpredictable. Regrettably, I chose the latter and the rough took everything off the putt. It barely made it onto the green and left a hard breaking 13 footer for par, which caught the edge, went around and... "JUST missing!" Bogey. Battled back by sinking a wicked double breaker from 20+ at 15, missed an eagle by yet another pube at 16. 17 was rough with the high winds, nearly impossible to hit and hold the green off the tee. Ended up in the sand with a really awkward chip that ran by, but I was able to hit anothwr double breaker from 15 feet to salvage par. Perfect approach on 18 led to an easy birdie and a final tally of.. R3 : -12 (61)
