Once a season, I treat myself. Once a season I pick a course just for me. I ignore expected difficulty, I ignore looks, and I ignore all you guys and pick one of my favourite courses that I enjoy playing. It’s the week I get excited about the most, it’s the week where I look forward to competing on a course that was strictly picked for me. I have a count down calendar just for this week alone, it’s Dan week and this week it means f**k all because not one of you did what I asked and tanked your rounds over the past month. “But Daaannnn, you can still plaaayyyy” I know I can still F****ing play, I will be still playing but it’s not the same, it’s not a proper Dan week. The the rest of the year I put up with your whining, entitled demands, “ I want this”, “ I don’t want that”, “ it’s to windy” “ it’s to fast” and on and on. It’s like being a teacher with 150 kids in a classroom. It never bloody ends. But I put up with it with a smile on my face, because I am a kind and loving scheduler, I am a caring and giving scheduler, each week, I embrace you all with a smile on my face, I listen to your troubles, I wipe away your tears, I protect you, I give you my all, so is it to much to ask to have one week for myself. Well, it’s seem it is to much, I have just two things to say to you.
Firstly
**** you ********** ****** and **** selfish *******. I am ******** **** *** disappointing **** let down.***** *** bunker **** sand in the crack ******* ***. Rotate ******* **** ****** insert ***** ****** sideways. And I hope ***** *** ******** water ******* ***** bogey while ****** *** ****** your golfbag and you ******* **** leaderboard. ****** **** tears **** and ***** *** ****** big toe. ****** **** ***** ******* Sunday while a ****** ***** ******* ******* your car, while ***** *** and ****** banana but ****** *** kind. So ***** *** **** ******** concern and ****** ***** ******** pants. In conclusion, ******* **** ******* *** ***** saying ***** ***** schedule but ****** *** ***** weekly ****. I *** **** own good ***** ****** **** ***** Sticky,ha,ha ha, **** 2 inches. **** ******* ***** diseased ****** **** ********, basement. I ***** ***** drink ***** ***** *** **** tears.
Secondly,
Good luck and have fun.

How do you follow that! After practicing a lot on trying to straighten my swing or at least get a consistent miss the hard work on the range (might) be paying off. One bad swing all round which unfortunately resulted in a bogie, however plenty to be positive about and I walk off -9. The course is tight from the tee compared to what we’re used to but the greens weren’t hard. I left 2.5 putts out there but gained a shot from a 30+ foot putt. Good luck y’all, I’ll be back later in the week when the cut line is taking shape.

Only excitement this week for me is knowing I have to play two rounds only. Consistently slow backs with my woods; fast downs with my irons; and when I get p/p my swing goes leaking completely outside the cone. Drained a few sick putts to get to -10 after 2.
Put me down for another dnf for the Golden Cow this week, Kevin!

Not an awful lot better from me. Tempo wasn't terrible, not a single VF in two rounds which is a bonus, but I completely lost my putter for a spell and it's probably going to cost me. Hammering 20 foot putts 15 feet past the hole twice, also missed a couple of short ones by hitting it through the break. I had to really dig deep to keep going and post something respectable. 64 and 65 for -13 at the cut. Probably in that missed cut but no damage range. Doesn't help that these are currently the only rounds I'm playing.
The course highlights how important good lighting is. First round it looked fantastic, second round made my eyes bleed. Always nice to play a good RCR from time to time, this one is right up there. I'll be keeping an eye on the leaderboard but not holding too much hope.

Same here, I had -8 and -5, though. First round it looked fantastic, second round made my eyes bleed. Same here. But apart from the lighting, I'm a big fan of that course! Added a -6 in round 3, so that I'm at -19 with one more round to go. Funny side remark is that I haven't figured out what to do with the back 9 in rounds 2 and 3. 9 pars for E in round 2, and birdie bogey 7 pars for E in round 3. Good luck guys!

Two chances for promotion this week, either through the promo event or a top 10 here. Hot off to a pretty good start with -11 in the first round. The lighting in the second round was very weird, the greens looked the same color as the grid...I'm not going to say that's the reason I missed putts, but did miss a couple easy ones to come in at -7 and -18 for the cut

one of my last marathons, I'm standing in the start corral on a cold very windy day- and I hear this guy near me say that his goal was sub 2:55 (my goal). As the start gun goes off, and we're running directly into the wind, I tuck in behind him and run in his shadow/ draft for the entire race (bad etiquette)... but we finished in 2:51. He turns around at the finish line and says (in a German accent) "you're a good smart runner" and walks away.
Apparently Friz and I are in all the same societies, finishing relatively close (Societies, not KF) and with the same end Goal, so I've been tucking behind Friz (and his ghosts) non-stop. Hopefully the end results are similar. Thanks for letting me draft, I'll owe you a beer if I get there.

I assume the morale of this story is the guy you were drafting behind still crossed the finish line first right? Totally kidding....mostly kidding... Something clicked in my game a few weeks ago and I've been able to hold it together for the most part. Happy I could provide some help. Oh, and I prefer a good craft beer over anything mass produced

Friz- I see you jumped into Casuals Society... at last count there were 26 of the WGR Top 100 play in that sandbox. A top 10 there is a good indication that you're headed in the right direction. I finished 2 back of you and missed 4 putts under 6'- that's the type of crap I need to clean up. I ranger every course that gets published to TGCT- 90% of my rounds are played with the rangering hat on (focus on course playability)... it's an adjustment to switch hats to competitive mode. Having a good ghost helps focus, else I start looking at the plantings, rocks, transitions, objects on the periphery of the course. and I cant remember the last time I had a mass produced beer...local Cigar City and Crooked Can for the win.

I've had Jai Alai, was quite good. We've got a really good craft scene in Michigan - Bells Brewery or Shorts Brewing Co. are top of my list I had been a part of the Casuals but hadn't played frequently, I jumped in when I saw they were doing some of the Major Contest courses since I'd been trying to play through those. Definitely seemed like a good test. And I guess I feel once i get into a round, I appreciate a good view but I'm rarely enjoying the scenery, I've got pretty serious tunnel vision for my next shot. Good way to score probably but I probably don't get the most out of some courses

The one thing you have to do on this course is stay in the fairway. I found myself in the rough or bunkers a little bit to often, none the less, I played pretty well, missed one five foot birdie putt and had one bogey but considering my recent form, overall a good round. -8 for round one.

Greetings from the Cow Hunt. Love the course, but of course it would not love me back. Couple of chirps, couple of Humphs led to a level front. Found the water on 10, triple Humph. Battled back to level courtesy of a chirp train 14 thru 16 then hung on. Love the course. Round 1 level. up mup kupen nupOnward.

so that I'm at -19 with one more round to go. And a -9 to finish this final week of the season at -28 (which equals my score in the promo event).

Practice round day- -13 at Congressional, -11 at Kegusta... which means I'll sh|t myself when it really matters tomorrow.
ETA: Self fulfilling prophecy from ^ R1- -5. Putting like a moron. 3 3 putts (2 from 9') on the front 9 derailed me and put me in a bad place... I'm already convinced these 2-4 shots will be the difference at the cut. R2- -8 Putted like a mad man- but the constant fast, slow tempo roller coaster on my approaches limited my birdie opportunities. -13 at the cut. probably 2 shots short.

After a 15 week vacation from TGC Tours - I am back... I needed the time away from this game.. I picked up right where I left off with one exception... Where in the hell did all these players come from ? This place is packed.. I came back sitting on 4 demotion marks.. Which is why it was time for a frustration break.. My Pro Tour days are coming to a end.. Started CC-D all the way to PGA and falling back down fast.. My ranking chart looks like a drawing of Mt Everest... I think I am fixing to head back to the good ole CC ranks.. Knocked the rust off and shot -7 in the 1st round.. In the second round (which will hurt me) I shot -4... I failed to hit the approach shots needed to score..
It's good to be back..
