Once the PS5 comes out ALL games will cost $69. The average price for a game on PS3 was $49. When PS4 came out it was $59. Now PS5 is happening. Don’t blame The game I totally get that next-gen games will be more expensive, but to have PGA 2K21 cost $60 on the current-gen Nintendo Switch, when it's missing a main game feature that's available on other console versions of the game, is quite an interesting plan.

$60 bucks for adding PGA players is a bit much also. But I will wait and make final judgement once game drops.
I haven't seen anything yet that made me perk up and look at it differently.

You can always pre order and get new shoes and pretty clubs . . . . . which will go away after the first update like in TGC19

I think, maybe even more interesting that the Switch version won't have the course designer, is that they are still charging the full $60 for it... That true? Was considering a switch version down the line so I could take it with me places so I could fiddle around in the designer. Having just recently got a Switch I am at least sort of considering getting it for Switch instead of PS4, mostly because I'm going to need to find some Switch rangers so me becoming one would make that easier for me. I never use the designer or play online with anyone so I wouldn't be losing anything. My main concern is how well the game will actually play with those short, stubby little thumbsticks. There's not very much range of motion for your swing with those things. Maybe they'll prove me wrong but I just don't see this game being even slightly good on the Switch.

So TGCTours is going to incorporate the Switch on tour then? Not much range of motion, sounds like everyone will jump from PS to Nintendo. Maybe Wags has a switch? You can be Reunited like Peaches and Herb

If you've ever used any handheld console with a thumbstick it is fairly similar to that. So any of the DS's, the PSP, or Vita. A very low profile nub to make it easier to carry with you. Add in the possibility of touch screen controls if you're playing handheld, and the officially licensed Pro controller which you can buy separately and is basically an Xbox controller for the Switch. Add in no designer and the notoriously frustrating Nintendo Online service and I just have a bad feeling about this game on the Switch.
Wagtunes struggled to find $40 for TGC2 so I doubt he has a Switch.

Once the PS5 comes out ALL games will cost $69. The average price for a game on PS3 was $49. When PS4 came out it was $59. Now PS5 is happening. Don’t blame The game Wonder if it will be PS5 compatible or have to pay the extra to upgrade? I saw this quote on a site: Sony has told PlayStation 4 game developers that any new titles submitted for certification must also be compatible with PlayStation 5, beginning 13th July. This means all PS4 games received by Sony for testing after the middle of that month are technically forwards compatible - playable on Sony's next-gen console - though it is up to each game's developer to ensure this is the case. Developer documentation - released on PlayStation's internal Partner website and seen by Eurogamer - details an option developers must check to state their game has been tested for compatibility with PS5 hardware. This option was added at the end of April in a new version of Sony's PS4 software developer kit. Sony has told developers it will contact them individually with details on how to test PS5 compatibility, in the order of their various projects' release. Further documentation sheds light on what "compatibility" means. A game will be deemed compatible with PlayStation 5 only if its submission code runs without issues on Sony's next-gen machine, and provides the same features on PS5 as it does on PS4. So, for example, a developer couldn't flag their game as PS5 compatible but not provide support for a certain mode on next-gen hardware. There's also this comment: During the PS5 system specs deep dive in March 2020, Mike Cerny revealed that nearly all of the top 100 PS4 games (ranked by playtime) would be playable on the PS5 at launch. Sounds as though not all games are going to be backwards compatible right off the bat then, wonder if it's been submitted yet or not as July 13 is only a week away? Maybe thats why its not on PS store yet? I also saw NBA2K21 wont be compatible if you buy the base game, but you will get the upgrade if you spend $100 on the Mamba Forever version. Just for a bit more flavour on back compat, as I'm a bit geeked up with the whole PS5 thing: The top 100 PS4 games, by play time, will be available to play on PS5 at launch on PS5 Native mode, with full PS5 compatibility, so brakes off, lighting speed, the full throttle. As well as the original game can play, without a rebuild from the developer. Compatibility modes confirmed, so far: - PS5 Native Mode - As above
- PS4 Pro Legacy Mode - Uprated visuals and frame rates in some instances, like PS4 Pro would do - supersampling on a 1080p image etc
- PS4 Legacy Mode - As it would run on a PS4, but with locked rates.
Almost all PS4 titles will be available to play on PS5 at launch - just some will have to be played in legacy modes due to the computational leap being so great, that they wouldn't run correctly otherwise.
I really don't like the 2K model for NBA by the way...

If it’s not fixed, no way am I buying it. Far too many other good games to invest in. I’d miss the community here, but not prepared to be ignored, as a community, over the debacle that is the 2019 swing at the highest competitive level.

No need to pre order any game unless you are desperate for the pre order nonsense. Not like it's gonna be out of stock (digitally anyway). Steam has an under 2 hour played money back refund if you're not happy with the product.

Steam has an under 2 hour played money back refund if you're not happy with the product. That's the smartest way to make a decision about the game, provided you have a gaming PC that can do it justice. I have a good gaming PC, in fact one that with the addition of a Geforce GTX 1070 OC 8GB video card is probably now ahead of my XBox One X in terms of overall processing power. I plan to play 2K21 on my XBox One X, and eventually on an XBox Series X because most of my gaming friends are on the XBox One. If I had any doubts about buying it, I would buy it for my PC on Steam, and make my mind up inside of two hours whether it was worth it or not, get a refund, and then buy it for the XBox One X.

This new game can't come soon enough! Not sure if I'm just not as focused anymore, but my scores have been total crap. I'm putting the clubs away for a month and going 100% when 2K21 comes out. Just tired of the courses designed with certain playstyles in mind. When there's a par 5 hole from the back tees that you can't even carry the forced carry with winds in your face, time to rethink everything. Going to feel so good when everyone is back on a level playing field.
