This new game can't come soon enough! Not sure if I'm just not as focused anymore, but my scores have been total crap. I'm putting the clubs away for a month and going 100% when 2K21 comes out. Just tired of the courses designed with certain playstyles in mind. When there's a par 5 hole from the back tees that you can't even carry the forced carry with winds in your face, time to rethink everything. Going to feel so good when everyone is back on a level playing field. If they do go with difficulty levels everyone won't be on a level playing field, only those that choose the same difficulty. That's what this game needs, tee it up in societies where everyone faces the same challenge.

Not everyone uses Master Clubs.

If memory serves me, I believe course designer/creator could have up to 16 pins, and 4 tee boxes for each hole. When you created a tourney, you would enter the pin # and tee box (b, m, f, l?) for each hole and round. Really allowed for a lot of flexibility for course/tourney set-up, especially if using firmer conditions/greens and/or the "mod".

Pre order is now on PS store for those that want to Just 2 player offline multiplayer, no more 4 ball mapping out courses then I’ll wait and see what the swing is like. If it’s not fixed, no way am I buying it. Far too many other good games to invest in. I’d miss the community here, but not prepared to be ignored, as a community, over the debacle that is the 2019 swing at the highest competitive level. Now I'm just going to play devil's advocate here fadgewacker. You mean to tell me that, in your entire video game playing life, you've never once bought a game that became a coaster in a few months, or less? For everything that was "wrong" about TGC2019, and there were a ton of things wrong, it's given me something like 100+ full days of total game play (2400+ hours), all for $54. I'm not giving up the community for $60. Trust me, I hear you. I certainly hope that they've listened and FIXED many of the issues from TGC2019, which should've been fixed via patches. But, this is a day 1 or pre-order purchase to me as the community (IMHO) plays a huge role in the enjoyment of any game.

We are getting the official course list soon... When you say official, does that mean PGA licensed courses or is it total courses when the game is launched. I would love to see them bring back Northern Forest from the first 2 versions of the game.

I would love to see them bring back Northern Forest from the first 2 versions of the game. I am assuming that these are going to be the ones that HB Studios has official licenses to use and are played on the real-life PGA Tour...these are not fantasy courses or anything like that. They have already shown/stated that East Lake, Riviera, Innisbrook (Copperhead), and several TPC courses are included. The full list apparently includes 15 real-life courses and tournaments.

I found this list of officially licensed courses and tournaments that Sports Gamers Online has been able to see from previous videos or announcements from HB/2K:
1) 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities 2) Valero Texas Open at The Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio 3) Zurich Classic of New Orleans at TPC Lousiana 4) John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run 5) The Players at TPC Sawgrass 6) The Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta 7) Waste Management Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale 8) Valspar Championship at the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Florida 9) The Genesis Invitational at the Riviera Country Club in suburban Los Angeles
That means six more will be revealed soon.

We are getting the official course list soon... We already know at least 10 or 11 of the licensed PGA TOUR courses anyway don't we? I guess this is worth a feature tweet to announce the remaining four or five?

Oh, I hear you, but I’m not prepared to put in the amount of hours I have with the last 2 games, to get to the top table if they haven’t listened to the feedback and to put it bluntly, the incontrovertible evidence presented to them, to show why as a simulation at heart, it’s aiding less talented players with a variety of glitches. If the feedback from trusted peers is good, I’ll buy it. If it’s not, maybe I’ll pick it up at some point, but with PS5 on the horizon, and so many good games coming, I’ll not allow something bog average to monopolise my game time. I’ve bought games that have ended up crap in the past... absolutely, but none have I been so directly involved in trying to improve, than this. If it’s more of the same, I’m not prepared to support the lack of development with more money. Other studios deserve my cash. The community here isn’t at fault and I’ll continue to pay my monthly subs, but I can’t get on board with a new game that ignores proper competition.

I have a feeling that the more society options promised will give a more even competition. I wouldn't be playing this game without compromises in our society. No clubsets is a good start because there was zero balance there, if there is proper difficulty levels that is a huge improvement. Being able to turn off and hopefully lock off visual aids in societies is a big step forward to have a real simulation setting. I will be surprised if the game isn't improved quite a bit as they have had 2 years. Not a fan of yearly releases and TGC2019 showed that they needed more time.

Add in Summerlin, Southwind, and Boston that are TPC and were in last year. That leaves 3 more. Then add in Atlantic Beach that was added in last year, and that now leaves 2 more. My bold guess? Victoria National (site of the Korn Ferry Tour Championship) and Olympia Fields (site of the BMW Championship). 2K and HB have been hyping up the FedEx Cup WAY too much to not include all of the playoff courses.

I attempted to do a Lidar build of Victoria National this Spring, but the Lidar Data available at The National Map is $hite! I would have had to spend many many hours smoothing in order to get something playable, and even then I would know how close it was. Unless HB/2K contracted an independent Lidar study of the course (not too cheap I think) I doubt they will do this one. It is too bad though, it is a great track, one of Fazio's best.

The data for East Lake are not great. So it will be interesting to see how that course is in the new game. They have stated that they have "scanned the courses" - so it may be that they have gotten their own data. I don't know how much it costs to do a lidar scan for a course. Don't think it is that expensive.
