On the swing back thing, it's something with the controller. I had this terribly last year. It would happen 4-5 times before every single swing which obviously made my tempo a disaster. That's around when I just WD'd or DNP'd like 8 straight weeks. Eventually caved in and got a new controller and I haven't had the issue since. No clue what causes it bit I can imagine your unsurety on if your swing actually works is probably hurting your tempo a lot. It used to happen a lot with my original controller, the one I have now though is only a few months old. I also had one prior that it rarely did it to. My theory has been something server related, but just a wild guess. I don’t know what it means exactly to have the stupid blinking wifi icon showing up at the bottom of the screen during play, but that coincidentally has been starting to happen now also quite a bit. It tells me there might be something going on with the connection, which might screw with the swing too? I don’t know. I've heard server related before but I'm fairly convinced it's controller. Of course it could be server side for some people, but I'm on fiber and I haven't had it happen a single time to me on any of three controllers I've used since it was happening on every single swing with the old controller. It's truly a nightmare playing with it though, hope you can figure it out soon.

I really think HB servers could be overloaded with everybody at home playing golf lately. I had a solid week of constant fast swings. It has been better for last couple days. But loading times and leaderboards don’t load. Yeah that’s what I’m thinking too. I’ve had the leaderboard not loading thing also, or stuck loading screen in societies where you have to restart the game. The latter has always been an annoyance though. The flashing wifi symbol during play is new to me recently though, usually I just see that when loading society pages. Today was a bad day for slows, but I think I can chalk that up to being really deliberate with my swing motion and overthinking.

Only reason I don’t play wired is cause my charger cord is pretty short and I’m usually flailing around when I get pissed off and end up yanking on it lol. Definitely have to give it a shot though.

You really are a toxic man. Jesus. You act like it's easy. I've been working at it basically since this all started and it's still hard to swing consistently straight. Hi, I'm CUSE and I'm gonna complain about conditions for my play, blame my family for my play, knock a guy when he's down and never own up to my play being my fault. WHOOP. Its been hard to swing straight for me for 3 years. Thanks for proving my point (:

Play wired mate. Problem solved, and better tempo. Don’t forget to put the controller into wired input mode in the device options menu. I never, ever play wireless with this game.

What Adam is going through is trying to hit the ball straight and failing more often than he would like.
That makes him no different to 95% of the players here, and certainly not particularly worthy of sympathy, whatever his hordes of followers might claim.
It certainly doesn't make him worthy of several posts maligning his score and his API failure, THAT is what makes him worthy of sympathy. I don't know him at all, but the guy is way more transparent than any of his detractors, really he's been more transparent than anyone on here with his streaming and instructional videos. All he got out of it is a target on his back.

Wireless controller days are over from now on. What about wireless PS4 internet too? Do you think it matters if the system itself is wifi vs ethernet, or just the controller? Looks like I’m still on the leaderboard for now, so that’s a relief. Another case of paranoia for me it seems. Wish I wouldn’t have let it derail my final round though, ugh...but on the bright side if this sh%$ passed I’m definitely fine for the future lol. Being worried over nothing is just par for the course for me, pun intended as it’s something I also had a lot of that round.

Personally, I’ve always had a hard wired connection (Ethernet) to my consoles, long before I ever played TGCT. Does it make a difference, to any game? Nowadays, with fast connections and good quality routers, I’m not so sure... but I’ll never change.

Ben, Adam's reaction to being told that what he was instructing people to do, was to play a glitch, is what's ended up with him "having a target on his back" so to speak. That, and the whining and sniping on stream, but absolutely zero attempt to discuss things on here, specifically after he brought the debate to the forums as he thought we were talking rubbish ( everybody saw that, right?) but then disappeared back to Twitch land when it was clear that it hadn't gone the way that he planned... I agree with Tyler, and Ben when I say that Adam's online presence is a great thing for the game. It's excellent that he's engaging more community members, with a professional setup, than most of us could manage to do even if we had the time. His tips video was very good, just using a broken swing... The game needs more of this, but it is not this that paints the target, it's the childish reaction to being questioned about something that has been subsequently proven to be an unfair advantage. You are correct, that he's more transparent than almost anyone on tour, but that swing transparency also brings with it a view into attitudes toward the tour and others and the perception that it should be ok should play games, without any limits. I genuinely hope that he gets back on track and can compete at the top, on the same difficulty level as the rest of us, as his presence is good for the game and the more top players we have, the better the competition for all. Last I saw on his streams, it seemed that he pretty much didn't care, and I hope that's not the case. Hell, if he can "Go for the Three-peat" again, maximum respect.

Hi Mark,
You and Mitch bringing him up in this thread is just as if not more childish than anything he did on this forum.

I don't know Adam from Eve.
All I know about the guy is what I saw publicly.
1. I saw his twitch where he purposefully swung well outside the box. 2. I saw his sudden/immediate rise in TGCT, winning multiple times (it's so rare just to win once in a season, yea?). 3. I saw him get defensive about the way he swings so he opened a debate on the TGCT forums (Mark has the link above). 4. I saw multiple people prove its advantage, people I didn't even know on tour, show the most scientific evidence we have outside of the developer actually getting involved. 5. I then never saw him come back and acknowledge anything and retreat to his twitch stream where he controls the narrative. 6. I saw the tour institute the most sweeping changes in years. 7. I've since seen/heard dozens of players also impacted by the tour's adjustment.
So don't give me bullshit about someone needing sympathy and that he's got a target on his back. Several other folks are impacted and he is the one that initiated it all and ran back to his mom's basement.

My take:
1. Adam is to be commended for his past transparency and his continued transparency 2. He handled the whole situation very poorly once he started the THREAD and didn't return, and then started to talk trash about the community in his twitch channel, and how he downplayed the power of the exploit. 3. Mocking him now for playing poorly while trying to fix his issues is no better than what he did in his channel. 4. And in general, continuing to single him out on here unprovoked (and I had a hand in doing that in this thread, bad me) only adds ammunition to his belief that this was a witch hunt from the start (which it wasn't, but with 2 or 3 pages being devoted to him weeks after everything went down... well I can see why he might have some reason to believe it).

Im just asking to see or if anyone knows the scores? They would probably be hard to find, unless fadge's superhuman memory can retrieve them. But what seemed interesting to you? I worry a very dumb conspiracy theory might be being advanced among followers on a certain Twitch channel that I literally just said we shouldn't talk about so much and here I am bringing it up.

If the goal is to point out that only average/medium players are getting pulled by the new left/right push/yank API metric, then that argument won’t get very far. As said before, scores are irrelevant.
