Starting my children of the Korn Farewell Tour with a +1 opener. 4 reds, no cuts made, not that I am not trying 'CAUSE I AM but the writing is on the wall and it also is in red (just look at the card folks). Round two will be very soon, probably tonight, then I can relax and finish up 3 & 4 to post a respectable cellar score for the Cup guarded by up mup kupen nup . Assuming I have to be an active KF member to participate in said Cup, looks like after this week you will have to find a new Chancellor of the Cellar. Onward! I think it goes without saying that the Cup guarded by up mup kupen nup (tagged myself lol) is not restricted to KF members. So, if you want to continue playing the KF tournaments, then feel free to keep posting your scores.

If you continue it will be good practice for when you make it back. What's the betting your first score after being relegated would have made the cut? Shame it's not worked out for you this time, you are a fun member of the group in what is easily the best weekly thread in all of TGCT. No b%&ing or moaning (well, not too much anyway), competitive people playing the game in the spirit it's supposed to be, and we've got the best scheduler. Come back soon Art!

(Hoping that writing him off before he's played the second round inspires him to smash it out the park...) 👍

As expected, I did not score well. Despite that, I am happy with the way I played. Patience is required on a course like this, pars have to be accepted as good shots on some holes. I took my chances when they came. Two wild swings though on the back nine cost me two shots and that really hurt my score, -4 for round one. Cut is still possible but it’s going to be tough.

Round 2 done and dusted. Matching +1s make for another easy MC. Sorry Giraffe72 I tried but I am just not that good, and I am ok with that. Will make an effort to get that last two in for the Cup, but have other rounds to get in during a short week. Onward!

Feel like I was so close to -10 in each of the first 2 rounds but just burned a lot of edges and some bad short game shots.
Prob won’t make the cut which stinks because I played pretty solid the last 2 rounds.
-3 -6 -11 -7 Total -27

-7 -6 -3 -4 (-20) I didn’t enjoy this week very much. No rhythm whatsoever.

Bonjour (seems appropriate this week), I had a bit of spare time left after finishing my dirtbag rounds yesterday evening, so I continued right away with my first two WSACOW rounds. It turned out to be a good idea, as I managed rounds of -8 and -10 on a quite challenging venue. I found the par 3s to be particularly tough, but this is counterbalanced by the makeable par 5s on the back 9. Now, it will be interesting to see how long I can wait before playing the remaining rounds. Yesterday evening I was like "Okay, with these two competitive scores, I have to be strategically super clever and wait until the weekend to see what I need to score to win this WSACOW week", which means that I'll probably be reporting my final score tomorrow morning. Good luck! Aaaand as predicted I went through both remaining rounds yesterday evening. Was not that successful though, as my -1 in round 3 (featuring 5 bogies or so) will probably cost me the good position I was in after two. Still, the concluding round is a rather appeasing -8, which gives me a rather satisfactory overall score of -27 for the week. All in all, I think an average of almost -7 isn't that bad on this course, at least for me.

As my stomach kept me home from work, I decided to plow through. Ended up -20. Not in anger or relief, but a mix of nausea and indifference in the end. Can’t wait for next week...

This game is trying to be the death of me! Round 2 in the book, I was targeting -8 thinking -12 has a decent chance of the cut. Made a slow start with 3 pars but then reeled off 5 in a row to reach the turn at -5. Little setback at 10 but a moral victory making bogey from 3 off the tee. Picked up 3 more birds to reach the 17th tee at -7. One more!
17 I hit a perfect drive, then a nice 2 wood in to the middle of the green. Well I thought so, until it rolled 30 yards backwards off the green. Hit a fast flop which left me a 7 foot slider, and it lips out sideways. One chance gone. 18th, another good drive and I see the slope behind the pin, hit an 8 iron up there and it starts to feed back to the pin...... and stops dead. On a yellow slope which was about to become a red slope. Are you effing kidding me game?! Shaved the edge with my birdie attempt, another par for -7 and -11 at the cut. 17 and 18 have really cost me in both rounds. I've got half a chance but not much more, got a feeling I'm one short. Sigh.
