Bit more work done on a few holes over the last couple of nights - I've sort of neglected this thread, so a bigger update than usual. Lots of work around the peninsula area as this is where it all gets tight in the routing. There's a bit of intricacy to the routing in terms of how you hit the ocean twice in the round, with a kind of central area where a number of greens and tees meet. Hard to explain, but have a few pics 7 - mid/long par four depending on how brave you are off the tee. The green is tucked behind a dune on the right, giving you options as to how much you care about distance, angle, water, flatter fairway or bunkers. You will then see 13th green off in the background 12 - par five that runs parallel to the left hand side of 7. Hit over the bunkers for a shorter shot in and better angle or dead at the ocean. 13 - oceanic par three 14 - driveable par four. Had to redo due to a game crash. Needs a lot of help from the planting, but should work nicely once 15 is built out behind the green and the rest of the 7/12 tee area is sorted: The Ocean Par 3 looks awesome, just hope the lighting will be better in the game as they seem too dark in the Pics, great so far tho

Working back from the coastline so that I don't back myself into a corner and I think (touch wood) the trickiest parts of the course are done. Central part of the course (from left clockwise gives you 6th green, 12th tee, 7th tee, 15th green, 11th green and then 16th tee), which allows the routing to intertwine nicely. 15th - mid length par three (may end up blowing this one up and starting over). Certainly needs a little more planting round the river, but I haven't totally decided what route I'm going for with that yet. 16th has taken a huge amount of work to get to this stage - love the green site, but the planting round the fairway needs some decisions made. The fairway mounding is the stuff of VctryLnSprts ' nightmares, but the idea is that left is your ideal line, with that in-fairway bunker playing gigantic due to the fairway camber. I think that this will be great with wind thrown into the equation. Water likely not really in play, but it's how we're going to get the river down so that it impacts on other holes more. Will be futzing with the sculpting right up to publish to make it look a touch more natural, but I dig this one.

Looking good Champ. That series of waterfalls helps take your eyes off the camber left and the moguls.

Did he say “touch wood” instead of “knock on wood”? 😂😂 Knock on wood is an Americanism . Touch wood is a UK term or can equally be used to describe Eric flicking through this thread.

Two more holes nearly done and dusted. Just five left and background planting. Pretty excited about this course - of the 13 holes I have, there are only three that I'm not 100% sold on, which is way ahead of how I've felt with any of my previous publishes. Hole 10 - par three (266 yards)One of my favourite par threes I've ever designed - it's just fun with multiple ways to attack different pins. Maxes out at 294 yards, but you only ever need to carry it 250 and funnelling the ball onto the green from the left is strongly advised. #groundgame. Hole 11 - par four (473 yards)Rounding out two trickier half par holes between two par fives, we have the 11th. One of the only elevated tees on the course. Toying with bringing the river more into play off the tee as well. Fun green site as well.
