The shapes also look really, really clean just as they should. Always awesome to see people give RCR / LiDAR courses the time they deserve, even if it's way too much time in this instance ;p

Always awesome to see people give RCR / LiDAR courses the time they deserve, even if it's way too much time in this instance ;p Thank you, I really wanted to capture this course as closely as I could and I'm quite the perfectionist. I expected from the start that this course would take considerably longer than Colonial Country Club that I did last year and that one was certainly over 150 hours. There's still so much left to do beyond the rocks but I'm looking forward to putting this all together. I'm sure part of the problem with the amount of time it takes for me to do a course is the fact that I have a tendency to play test frequently, even after making minor changes. Just trying to get the right feel for how the course looks and plays is really important to me.

Any further progress on this? Or even better, a potential release date?
Asking as it would be nice to schedule it for the World Matchplay on TST from 23rd March, if it gets released in time for rangering the week prior.
Cheers

Rob thanks for asking. I'm working really hard with the free time that I have to get this done in time for the Dell, but it's going to be close. I'm hoping to put a lot of time into it this weekend and we'll see how far I get. How much lead time do you need in order to be able to ranger the course properly? I had originally planned to do a beta release to get some feedback before publishing a final version. Right now a potential release date would be 3-4 weeks if all goes well.

For TST - maybe 3/4 days might be sufficient? So by say Wed 18th? Most rangering is with regard to not having yellow / red near the pins - so if you aren't sculpting right at the end, we could get the beta rangered for that a few days earlier than that, and then just wait for final planting etc in the final release?

OK, I'll try my best. There's really not much sculpting to do. The vast majority is planting and then I have to add pin positions. Right now I have 3 different tee boxes set up, but there's only one pin per hole. I usually add the extra pin positions at the end and test everything.

Don't worry mate. All we know you'll try to your best to finish for that date, but if it shouldn't be possible, we'll simply play this gem later.

Wow, wow, wow.
Question: can the ball get tangled up in any of the rocks, or does it bounce/slide off into fairway/rough/water?

Are you do a tour and a non tour version like you did with colonial As of now my plan is to only do a tour version, unless there's enough interest otherwise. However, doing a member's version shouldn't be too difficult given the way the course is set up.
