Killer rock work from afar. I always cheat and use fewer bigger rocks for rock walls.

Killer rock work from afar. I always cheat and use fewer bigger rocks for rock walls. Thanks for the compliment. I really appreciate the feedback. I may use that trick for other less important areas of the course but for many of the tees and greens that have these rocks, the bigger ones didn't quite capture the look I'm going for. It's really slow and tedious to do it this way but in the end I like the way it looks.

Really impressive work so far. Can tell you are really taking pains to make a spot-on recreation. Looking forward to playing it and following along with interest.
Have you given thought to releasing a "reversed nines" version as they play for the WGC Match Play?

Have you given thought to releasing a "reversed nines" version as they play for the WGC Match Play? As of now, I have the course routed in the exact same manner that is used for the Dell. Probably won't release a "member's version" unless there is a demand for it. Planning on doing a tour version only.

This looks so good and I'm so damn excited you're making this course. The current RCR for this one that's out there is a bit subpar and this is really such a great track. How far along are you roughly?

That rock work looks incredible. And we know LIDAR runs super slow in the designer. Way to stick with it.

How far along are you roughly? Thanks for the compliment, Tyler. I would estimate I'm only 30-40% done right now. The Lidar based courses are very taxing on the resources to start with, so I decided to do all the rock work in the beginning to see how much of the my resource meter is left to plant. I have already done all of the retaining walls on the back 9 at least and that went pretty well without affecting my resources too much. There is so much rock throughout the course and the way I decided to do it is very tedious and slow as you might imagine. Also, I'm not the fastest when it comes to using the designer, but I making progress for sure. I would estimate at least 2-3 months before I will be ready to publish a beta version for feedback. Thanks again for the compliment and your interest.

That rock work looks incredible. And we know LIDAR runs super slow in the designer. Way to stick with it. Thanks for the encouragement, Ryan. I'm going to keep plugging away until I get it just the way I want. It's moving along pretty well right now, but this rock work is just slow. I'm definitely pleased with how it looks so far and when I play test, it hasn't caused any problems yet. We'll see what happens when I finish the rocks and start planting. I'll continue to post pictures from time to time of my progress.

The rock work continues to be incredible man. Pure dedication. Wow. Thank you, I really appreciate the compliment. At times it's felt like I wasn't making any progress and I wanted to abandon the course because it was so tedious, but I managed to keep pushing forward. Now that I'm on the downside with the rocks, I'm determined even more to finish this. I'm also pleased that I'm going to achieve my goal of no more than 50% on the resource bar when I'm finished with the rocks, however, I'm still concerned that I'll have to compromise on the surrounding environment before I'm finished. We'll see.

This looks SO good man. This will definitely go into our ultra aim experience society towards the end of our season

This looks SO good man. This will definitely go into our ultra aim experience society towards the end of our season Thanks for the encouragement. I've really enjoyed this course and can't wait to see how it all comes together once I finish working on all the rocks. I wish I wasn't so slow designing but I guess I can't be accused of rushing a course to get it published, right? There's still a slight chance I can get it done before the actual tournament rolls around in late March, but there's also a chance that I might be going to Austin for the tournament, so that could also affect when I finish it. Regardless, I'm going to keep working away.
