My son in law is a new player, few weeks, and is on the beginner tour in this promotion event 2 my son in law wants to play on the challenge league circuit now that he has a general feel for the game with beginner clubs etc can he progress with pro clubs and play in the promotion event 2 and be evaluated for a league position ? If your son-in-law wants to progress on to using pro clubs on TGCTours he will have to join Q School where he will be evaluated for which CC Flight he can join. The Promo events are for CC and Pro Tour cardholders who want to try and jump up the tours outside the normal promotion procedures. Hope this helps.

Doyley when you're back from vaca, can you add the tour column and clubset column like you did for promo #1 ?

It'd be a lot of work, but I'm wondering if future promotion events and the spots available based on gaming platform. As of current standings, 58 are Xbox, 45 are PC, and over 100 PS4.
From what I've read, PS4 is easier than Xbox. I see the scores week in and week out, and most top spots are dominated by PS4. Only 2 Xbox players make the top 10. Wouldn't it stand to reason that say at this point in the tournament, that 50% of promotion spots go to PS4, and 25% each to Xbox and PC. Just a thought.

You'd be artificially promoting some people (probably XB players) with lower scores into a league where they couldn't be competitive. And holding some others down (PS players - solely due to their platform) in a lower league, where they will then (potentially) dominate, and thereby annoy others in that league, until they promote to the correct league that their scores deserve.

Doyley what is the logic behind making the CC pro/am ideal field size 140/120 ?? With more players in those ranks, wouldn't it make more sense to have a slightly larger ideal size? Like 160/140 as it was for promo #1? Most of the average sizes are about the anyway.. Just curious..

Is this thread going to be updated? Seems to be all about the 1st promotion event?
