My first week in CC-C after getting promoted R1 -10 R2 -13 R3 -8 R4 -7 Carded a triple on hole 2 in the 4th round when my ball got stuck basically on the cliff just off the left side of the green. Just couldn't advance the ball. Good luck everybody.

My -31 last week was good enough for a promo in my maiden CC-C outing. Rounds of -14, -13, -9 & -9 again this week for a -45 total. So, very happy with that and I'm thinking another promo is very much on the cards. R4 was probably the toughest of the bunch. Had to knuckle down and stay patient early doors in that round. Great shooting.

Just did not care for this course. Too many choke points right where a Pro club drive needed to land, no problem for Masters club mostly. I just have lost interest in the season, since nothing we do means anything unless you are trying for Top Money Winner or something (certainly not me!). I think I will just speed-play the rest of tis season and see what the new Q-School brings.

At least in terms of finding the fairway. Finding a flatish lie was, of course, trickier. There are plenty of tricky approach shots, but once you get it close you are generally left with an easy putt.

Can't say I agree since I shot a 56 with pro clubs.....I thought last week's course was a pro club nightmare, but I basically came in last place so - I must have been wrong.

Valle de las Joyas....definitely one of the hardest courses we've had, IMO. Harder than anything I've designed.
May take a WD, we'll see.

playing this course with very fast greens and high winds is a bit much for me, I've played two rounds and don't really want to play the last two.

Yeah I gave up. WD for me. Not wasting my time with masochism. Sucks after finishing top 10 last week too to follow up like this, but that's the way the ball bounces.

Well I was scared $h1tless by Cephyn's and Dabrian's description of this weeks course but I said what the heck. I agree it is definitely tough but the Golf Gods were smiling on me this round anyway. Three chip-ins in the first 11 holes (never ever had more than one a round) gave back the strokes that three barely missed putts from under eight feet took away. Bogeyed #18 with another missed shortish putt but I was more than happy with -7 for the round. p.s. cephyn whenever I see your posts this is part of your Signature I don't know if that is just me or everybody sees that. Just letting you know.

Just finished Round two at Joya, did not play as well, always seemed to be between clubs. Happy enough with -4 though. I favorited the course even though it is quite tough, but I think it is really well designed and attractive.

Some of the difficulty comes simply from poor design. Shame, because it looks great for the most part. Anyway, 2 tournies in to my CC-C career and I'm sitting on 2 promos already. Currently -15 after 2 rounds here. -9 R1 was a good start. 2nd round was a tad frustrating tho.

Well I finished -21. Easily one of my worst efforts for quite some time.
The more I played the course, the more I couldnt wait to get off it.
I like the environment created, well done to the designer for that. But I'm afraid the course is sculpted very carelessly. I dont mind tough. Tough is great. But it has to be fair tough. This is more of a 'I have no idea where this ball will roll out/end up whether I hit a good shot or not' kinda tough. The greens are too small, especially given some of the harsh slopes on them and, really, they just dont play well at all.
