Ahhh - you cannot put in an actual number? Does it all correlate to what the designer originally put in? How many different speeds are there actually can there be a 167 AND a 168 or will golfers never ever see a 168 (or 169 whatever). The designer sets a speed and I can choose 187, 163, and 144... So basically what "we" can change for conditions is what "you" can change globally.

It is like this Rod - the designer sets a "default" green speed for the course using a slider that goes from 4.5 to 8.5, which correlates to green speeds of 101 to 187. You (for local matches) or the tournament director for Society events can choose five different green speed settings in the conditions, from very slow to very fast. Very Slow and Slow are hardly used, so mostly you see Moderate (144), Fast (163) or Very Fast (187). If the designer chooses the default to be something other than one of those green speeds, then the Tournament Director has four choices; Default, Moderate, Fast, and Very Fast. I hope this clears things up.

I'm making a spread sheet for realistic weather conditions for tournaments but I did not realise you guys were SO hampered in what you can do. Can you mess with wind direction and velocity? Pretty much the same as if we wanted to change conditions?

I have heard that it does depend on the theme, and as you have seen, the default can vary quite a bit during the round, but I do not know for sure. You are right, it would be nice if the designers could set up a default wind speed and direction for their course. Maybe in the new game 🤞.

I was thinking of the guys that set conditions for tournaments - what controls do THEY have for setting conditions - I know what designers have.

basically if you go into a local match and select "Change Conditions", that is exactly the same options that a tournament scheduler has when setting up the rounds for the event.
it looks like ive found my home in CC-C to finish the season. Got a demo, removed the demo, got a promo, lost the promo. been finishing mid board since.

Scoring was quite aggressive this week, -41 didn't even get me in the top 50. Sheesh.

I am +2 after two rounds this week...so I think I'll just take a WD.
Course is fine, quality as always from Matt F, I just couldn't hang.

Promoted from CC-D. My CC-C career has gotten off to a solid if unspectacular start with a first round of -7. Was bogeyless until the 18th :/.........

CC-C thread seems like a lively place haha.
-31 for the week. Should be good enough to avoid any damage. Much sterner challenge this week than the previous week.

Great course, I like it when -7 is a good one round score, as opposed to -13, practically realistic

Yeah, I was fairly happy with my -7 in round one, it just hurt my heart to get pars on #17 & #18 handicapped par fives , bogey free though so that was good.

This feels like a us open, the greens are polished glass, I’m +3 on the first hole so far this week but I managed a -8 in round three, if I got they first hole under control I know I could get to -10

My -31 last week was good enough for a promo in my maiden CC-C outing.
Rounds of -14, -13, -9 & -9 again this week for a -45 total. So, very happy with that and I'm thinking another promo is very much on the cards. R4 was probably the toughest of the bunch. Had to knuckle down and stay patient early doors in that round.
