Robn I do partially agree. I liked the course but I did get too many roll-offs into the rough for my liking. I finished the third round, of course started with a 3-jack bogey on #1, and another bogey on the #1 handicap hole, but did right the ship after that. An eagle out of the heavy rough on #18 was a nice top-off to a -8, which I was pleased as heck with in those winds.

This course is hella tough.
Chasing that 3rd promo to get to CC-B.......well, not really I guess as it's all academic now. Not gonna get it after those first 2 rounds anyway ha!

Pro club players haven't a snowballs chance in hell of being competitive on this track. I've never hit so many long irons and hybrids into greens as I did this week.....and the greens were not exactly straightforward either.
Nice course, but very long for the pro clubbers. So fair play to any pro clubbers that manage to go real low this week.
And that's a wrap I guess.

You are quite right Robn, as a Pro club user I was hitting a lot of 190-200 yard approaches (always between clubs of course ). I finished Round one at -6 but it could have been at least three strokes better than that but I couldn't buy a putt on the front nine. Two bogies did not help either.

Gave up after two rounds. Was +4 or so, and that was with a double bogey in the first round...I 3-stabbed from inside 10 feet. I can't read these greens to save my life. See you later TGC19. Fond farewells and all that.

Odd contention considering a pro player is currently tied for the lead, you can lengthen a course enough to make pro clubs obsolete, but the forgiveness is always there

Matt designs and plays with pro clubs - he tested from the back tees with them. I design and play with Masters. We both found it fine and are both CC Pro. Length was important as we wanted to build a sort of CC championship course which wasn't a birdie fest. As dime says - tempo easily makes up the difference to distance and we worked hard to average the two so it was a different, but even experience for both clubsets. P.S. you have -27 through 2 rounds on CC-A with Masters and -26 with Pros. It's scoreable for either.

Keeping an eye on the leaderboard, I see that there are plenty of pro clubbers that are doing just fine. Also, I didnt play particularly well truth be told. Finished -19 for the week, easily my worst effort for some time. Definitely a tough track (which is great) and played a lot longer than most, but it is fair. I never questioned that. I guess that mainly a bit of rustiness and one eye on 2K21 didnt help me here.
