I've been a gamer for most of my adult life - and a hard-core one for a lot of it - and have been passionate about golf and many different video game varieties of it going back to the early 90's. And of all the games I have played, and all the online gaming communities I have been a part of, I have never seen a community as amazing as TGCTours. From the guys who created it to the volunteers who give so much of their time building the tournaments and picking the courses every week and the rangers who test them, to all of the website and forum admins, to the hundreds of designers who constantly add so much great content for us to play, to all of the members who contribute in their own ways by creating societies and player-run events for the community, to just the people providing feedback and discussions on the forums - this is hands-down the best player-driven gaming community anywhere, period. Thank you to everyone for all that you do!

I just want to say thank you to everyone that makes this the NUMBER 1 sports gaming community out there ! I have been involved in many of them. From LG in NHL, to Madden, FIFA and MLB. While all those are great ( I’m looking at you LG) NONE of them hold a candle to what is being done here. To the admins, designers, rangers and everyone who plays week in and week out, a very big THANK YOU to you all!! See you all at the clubhouse and good luck in Season 6!

Really appreciate what you folks put together. Hopefully all will become donors and keep you guys in the black.
See you in a few weeks!

While I didn't think you were going to force folks to Pro clubs, I do think the suggestion of issuing warnings for those who have had their scores pull. You get a freebee. After that, just like any other mark, you gotta work it off. 3-4 weeks to work it off to zer0.
First offense Free you are simply removed that week. This is also the same that will happen if you have zero WD active. Second offense. 2 week tour suspension to give you time to work on your swing. You then get to come back. Every 3 or 4 tournaments that you play, removes a strike. At this level you have 2. Play clean and they will fall off. Third offense. 1 month suspension. Same thing, you can come back and work off your strikes after your four week lay off. fourth offense. Admins figure this one... 2 months suspension or are they just done for the season?

A simple thing as no lie-grid goes a very long way. You can still SEE the slope, but it's much tougher to judge. To each their own. Scout cam and wind meter need to stay. Meh. I'll be demoted. Lolol. I think this would be a great idea. Small change, no drastic effect, but will add an element of feel to the game. It’ll def cause rounds to take a bit longer but seems like a heady concept.

I will throw my tuppence in with everyone else - I am new this year, but I can't think of any other Forum I am on that is as useful and well monitored as this one. The Tours themselves are a miracle of organization, and the polling to assess the thoughts of the players is fabulous. If only HB were so attentive !

Doyley. Would you give consideration to turning off the Lie grid and Aiming Reticule (leaving scout cam on) at the highest level(s)? Very subtle changes that I think the pro players could handle. Maybe a "funner" in the special event society so players can see how it plays before getting their pitch forks? Just throwing some ideas out there. I understand if the "status quo"/"if it isn't broke, don't fix it" mentality is the preferred option. Thx!

Sorry if I ask something more..but I was thinking..i don't know exactly how API works.. I know simply it can't solve every problem about fair play we have in the game. Now, if I can be fully honest, I don't know how it was before, but I'm here by 4 months and, while 4 months ago I was dreaming about the chance to reach the PGA tour..i have to admit that now I have no more rush. At all. The idea to play the best tour is no more so exciting. And honestly is not acceptable why it happens. The threads of the weekly PGA tournament are sad to read. I feel bad everytime, for all the guys who tries to compete fairly. And I think that in that situation probably I should prefer to quit and to play again alone. Is not serious. And I'm sure that all of you admins are unhappy too, about this thing. So..considering that we risk to live all this the next season, again and again, please..is possible to have some really harder (and fair, finally) punishment for who exploits every week the system? I think that the main problem is that a single dq changes nothing. Who cheats and has been caught, thinks simply that has been an incident and next week he'll try again, being more careful. They risks nothing. Why they should play fairly? But what if, after two pulled out scores, there is the ban for the player? A definitive ban, I mean. Cause if my score is pulled out one time and is my swing, I must simply pull properly the stick. And if is fault of my controller, I don't need another week or try, to understand that I simply need another controller. Or I can try it in another event and ask a check. I did it, before to buy my controller. And all it worked flawlessly. Implementing this change, who wants to be competitive at the highest levels, who wants to play a major or to have a chance to win the FedEx and the final standing, if every time he needs to create another profile and to restart everytime from the q-school..maybe it could start to think that it would be better to play fairly. I mean..i know this can't solve everything..but it would be a first step. And we need to do something, cause we risk to have a cheater as a champion of EVERY principal tournament or tour or event. This tour don't deserves to become a joke. We must to do something. Please.

Didnt play much at all this year but thanks for another great year for everyone.
And to the discussions about turning some aids off... Im all for it. Personally, the big reason why I left was that everyone was so damn consistent I felt like every week was competing just to finish in the same spot, which was cut to bottom 25% on PGA. I think with turning more aids off, scores obviously get to a more realistic level which I think most would prefer, and players become more inconsistent because it's harder to read greens and judge lies and aim... Thus, players would feel like they're competing with more or less everyone on that tour level instead of a select few.
I know if we were to implement this on lower tours as well scores would most likely skyrocket which could turn away some players, but I think for the most part players would compete regardless but at the end of the day, players are trying to score relative to others, not the course.
Maybe we could have another poll for PGA/Euro/Web to gauge everyones opinions and go from there?

Thoroughly enjoyed the season, thanks to the TGCT admin/staff for putting in a tremendous amount of work to keep the Tours ticking along, we definitely appreciate it. Looking forward to next season and hopefully keep myself in CC Pro.

Does anybody know if promo/demo marks stay on your record heading into season 6?
And when should we expect to see the schedule for season 6 in game?
Cheers
