As disappointed as I was with Necedah's result, I was equally elated to see that St. Cyrus won. The course didn't need 125-foot drops or eye candy everywhere, it was just flat out fun to play. The extras that were thrown in were tastefully done and the course just had a real, authentic vibe to it. I felt Dan's Shelter Island should have finished better than it did in the World Cup, but like I said before, it all tends to equal out in these competitions and it's great to see PithyDoctorG get his due. Well deserved. Also, I was very happy to see that joegolferg came in second. I think Raynor Ridge was his finest work, to date, and shattered the perceived glass ceiling of what a course of this style can do in a contest setting. I have a soft spot in my heart for MacRaynor courses, so I was glad this finished so well. I'd say, on the whole, the judges got it right. Thanks reebdoog CiB0RG & judges for your efforts in running this contest. Congrats to all the top five and best of luck in your future course endeavors!

Thanks, everyone. My hats off to reebdoog and CiB0RG for running such a great contest and to all of the judges for volunteering their valuable time. This is probably the first contest I've been a part of where I've looked forward to the result reveals for the sheer entertainment value and actually finding out whether or not I'd win was secondary. My congratulations to joegolferg, SindreRev, mattf27, and Crazycanuck1985 for making the top five. I could have easily envisioned finishing behind any one of those terrific courses. Also a shout-out to mayday_golf83 for designing my favorite course of the contest and also for the neat-o trophy card!

Sums up my thoughts perfectly. Also, reebdoog, I really enjoyed the required elements part of this contest. I felt it pushed me to try a few things I'd never have done otherwise and whilst a few of those could have been executed better, the judges unanimously loved the 152ft downhill hole I'd have never put on the course without this bit of encouragement, so thanks for that! A202 says hi, by the way.

Great design competition as usual and I really can't complain with receiving the silver medal especially as I haven't fared well in past contests with the style of course I like to build. Absolutely made up for Dan, a fellow architecture enthusiast who built an extremely authentic links experience with the Golden Age written all over it, much deserved and a win for classic, old school architecture.
Thanks to all the judges and others behind the scenes, especially Reeb for providing us with what I would call the best and most informative playthroughs in a competition so far. It was a pleasure to take part in.

Dan was a guest with Nobleman and Fordyce when they played my course submission a while back on the Review show. He was very cordial and knowledgeable and I couldn't be happier that he took the win. My hat goes off to all the winners who made it to the top 5 and the top 10. I have played every course in this contest, thoroughly enjoyed each and every round and am very thankful I was able to participate in the contest. Great job to everyone involved.

Congrats to the winner! There were some really great courses by all those who participated.
I certainly appreciate all the feedback received and hope one day to be able to produce something as good as any of the top 10 in this comp...well done!!

Awesome win from the Doctor, and I’m stoked to see this on week 1 of the TGCT that I’m on.

To everyone still waiting on their judging feedback: Sorry if it takes a couple weeks for me to get around to your course. I am extremely swamped with work recently and have been out of town every weekend. I made a point to get feedback to the guys who are in the rookie contest first so they can use it to aid them as they design their next contest courses. The veteran designers can expect a little bit of a deteslay but I promise I will get them all out sooner or later. Are we any closer to receiving judging feedback? It's been over two weeks now.
