Looking good, nice waterfall on 13. Great course name too, bet there aren’t any others in the database with the same name.

Translates as Blackwater Golf Course. Still have all the planting to go and making that waterfall look even better. Have been trying something different on this course that I haven't done on any of my unpublished courses and using splines for bunkers. Turning out slightly bigger than I hoped. Any feedback from experienced designers on how it looks would be helpful.

As you can see front 9 is planned out and 3 of the back 9 done too. Still lots of work to go including all the planting but also the tees, pin positions and sloping the greens so they are not too flat and easy.

I like the curvaceous style you have going with a number of the bunkers - good that you are mapped out and I would also consider the flow of the round so that your holes feel varied (i.e. do you have a number of long par fours in a row, dogleg hole balance etc.). Looks like a solid start and interested to see where these end up once completed.

Be sure to be careful with those green transitions. It is definitely something judges will be paying attention to in the rookie contest as doing it correctly shows a good level of attention to detail. Here is a tutorial from VctryLnSprts from a previous "what's going on" episode.

I would also add that I’m not totally sold on the light roughed bunkers but I think it depends on whether you like it and whether it’s consistent

I have kept the consistency throughout. About to post Hole 1 with planting. I know it could use more but want to finish all holes and then go back over each hole to add more. Don't want to use up object meter at start of course and have nothing left for end.

Cracking looking hole, just be aware of what JW said, the fairway should transition smoothly into the green if at all possible

Ah the old Playstation capture symbol. Brings back memories... Planting-wise, Swiss is tougher than a lot of people would think, because EVERYTHING is green. I found with Ganglesee (link in my signature if you need ideas) that you really need to make use of the gorse bushes, rocks and a few global plants to brighten it up. Also, I'd suggest trying to plant more in clusters than big walls of planting (it'll save you time and looks more natural and sinking the bushes into the ground a bit more - they don't look great when at default level on the surface. I also like the way you've left the left hand side open - making the most of the big views on Swiss is key. Following with interest

I have been fixing all the transitions and working on more holes. I am not going to post many more pics as I want to keep surprises though may post if I am not sure on anything. Have 13 holes laid out with all tee boxes and pins done on 3 of them. Only 1 hole planted but it is getting there and should be able to do a fair bit over the next week or two.
