Loving the Liverpool references in the last post having been a fan since the mid 80's. One of the teams I follow anyway along with Dagenham & Redbridge and FC Bayern plus many, many others. Course looks good like so many others in this competition. Hard to believe we all still qualify for rookies even though some have never published a course with TGC before.

Amazing how many Liverpool fans there are, guess it will be the same with Man City in 20/30 years time. Mr Rush hasn't wasted anytime, before Sergio left us he was having trouble on hole 10, he'd been given the brief to keep it natural but constantly over complicated it. Mr Rush has planted some new trees down the left and laid a few bunkers around the green, the trees are new to me, they are called Torres pine, i'm told they flourish in the heat and you can move them once but quickly wilt if you replant them again.  |

Ok me personally I’d bring in some waste bunkering to the left of the fairway and run it up to the hill, extend the fairway in that area to the right. Lower the hill so if you go right you can see the top of the flag but contour the green so the farther left you are and the more you bring bunker into play the better approach you have. Just my 2 c

After sitting round the dinner table discussing mow patterns, the project leaders retired to the clubhouse balcony. Whiskies in hand the chat turned to the as yet to be decided clubs name, during a lull in the conversation the group heard some of the younger members of staff downstairs around the fire pit. The boys are a friendly, relaxed, hard working bunch whose leader (Roberto) was moaning “ Sadio you always expect me to clean out the dirty bong water”.
Back up on the balcony Xabi, whose family own the land the Golf club is being built on turned to his Son in Law, “Virgil, we have a name, Dirty Bong Water Dam Golf Club”

It’s funny changing theme and seeing the plant replacements. They are normally OUTRAGEOUS!
what prompted the theme change? Not happy with tree options or textures? Back ground or what?

I wanted to change themes at one stage but that would have meant deleting and replanting almost eveything Planted upto hole 12, over 100 hrs on the course and just wasn’t feeling the love for the it last night! It looked good in a few other themes but it’s too late to change now. Planted 13 and half of 14 tonight and after another 3 hours and a few different ideas I’m warming to the course again. It’s a roller coaster |

Not happy with tree/bush options, I was originally going for a scrubby bare approach but there are areas of the course that need heavier planting and it was all looking a bit repetitive. But a fresh day and a bit of trial and error looks like it’ll get me through on Delta. |
