Looks great, very natural bumps and hollows, lovely bunkering and I like your pathways. If you haven’t seen them, please look at B101’s dream team videos on the results thread, and excellent editing and good inspiration too

And in the lighting it seems everyone is going with this low light. I get that it makes certain holes stand out but I’m also a fan of a nice clean clear course showcasing the textures in their full light. My course isn’t full light not is it as Angled as yours but I too fear the tree end up darkening parts I want people to see I just hope everyone’s doesn’t fall for the “lighting has to be dark” theory to give a course character. My two cents: The problem with lighting in this game is that you have to kind of play to it. Even comparing those two holes, you can see the difference visually between the one that is 'down' lighting vs. the one into the light - the bunkers look very washed out and just don't come across as they should without the help from the lighting. I wouldn't say it's people falling for the 'lighting has to be dark', but if you look at pretty much every top end contest course (take the entirety of the top ten from the CC contest, for example), they will make use of the lighting, because you have to. Will mine necessarily be this low on publish? Maybe, maybe not, but it's better to plan for it being low and from one specific angle than to change it late on and have to replant everything because of shadow issues. If you pop the lighting to high noon, though, you are shooting yourself in the foot as nothing will look good. My way of doing it is to try to maximise the number of holes/shots in decent lighting and just have a few holes where they are in awful lighting, where they have to be interesting strategically. On this course, that would be the 5th (par five) and 9th. It's therefore no surprise that those have been two of the toughest holes to build. Like I say, no one way to do it, but it is pretty common to go with lower lighting. That’s looking cool and neat. The only question I have and not just with yours but with lots of the thread WIP pictures is what is the view from the tee without the elevated angle? So, this is only really a PC thing. Hit F10 to enter camera mode, then F11 to hide the little menu and zoom around to your heart's content. I find it gives some more fun angles than the usual look off the tee. Looks great, very natural bumps and hollows, lovely bunkering and I like your pathways. If you haven’t seen them, please look at B101’s dream team videos on the results thread, and excellent editing and good inspiration too Thanks! I've really tried to work on the natural sculpting on this course, so nice to see that comes across - the 14th being downhill 72ft was definitely tricky... Glad you liked the videos as well! Dream Team courses are well worth a look, as are the CC ones, as you will find a lot of inspiration in both.

b101 I know what you mean regarding the pc screenshots but my question was what is the visibility of the hole from the actual tee. I know this is always judged in contests from what I’ve read.
As for the lighting comment - I agree that everyone will probably avoid high noon but I sometimes think some courses go too far chasing an image when it’s about the course not the sun / fog.

Pretty good, don't worry Yeah, I get you - I've just been judging the Dream Team one and I'd say it's fine unless it is super low. You have to really be going some before the lighting becomes an issue.

And we are done. Mammoth session today has seen everything completed and a lot of tidying up done. Time for a couple of playtests of each pinset before a release later this week (probably Tuesday or Wednesday).

I’m assuming that can only be done on PC. Awesome work Can be done on PS4 (my Ganglesee video was), but it's certainly a lot more time consuming and fiddly as you can't get into camera mode to zoom around as freely. Glad you like and look forward to seeing yours when you get it done
