YES. This happens to me all the time. I have very bad tempo problems depending on the day and the time of day. During the week is much much worse than on weekends. Its why I mostly play my rounds on Sunday and Monday, then finish on Friday and Saturday. I've heard lots of people say its just me, and to a degree, I believe that. but not always. I know I'm not a great golfer, but I've played here over a year, and I can tell when the bad tempo is my fault, and when its something else. I can hit the controller exactly the same, and get a slow one time, and a very fast the next. I get tons of very slows and very fasts when I play mid week. I used to complain about this all the time, but nowadays, I just deal with it and keep rockin best I can.
lessee, you were asking about the game giving you the wrong club and not noticing it? Yup, that used to happen to me all the time!
Anyone that plays my ghost will probably notice that my woods are all different colors. Right now I am just carrying the driver, which is orange, and the two, which is the cool black with skulls pattern. But the three is red, BRIGHT red, and the 5 is green, BRIGHT green. The sole reason they are like this, is because I kept missing the fact that the game would give me the wrong ones, like you are talking about, so I color coded them with BRIGHT colors so I would actually notice them. My favorite color is pumpkin orange, so thats why my driver is that color. I notice now if that orange club is not there on the tee. It works, try it!
Being a continually off the green, I have that happen quite often. I frequently have my view blocked by grass and undergrowth, and the stands people sit in. I've said before I wish they would put some type of first person view in this game so you could at least see the club and ball like irl in those situations. I've never thought to change the camera angles, I usually just deal with it and do a blind shot.
I think you are safe my friend! I actually didn't do too bad on my R2, on holes 2 through 18. hahah. But on the first hole, I tripled, because I somehow hit the camera stand thing, and it went backwards. I mean, the thing is as big as a barn! but you know if I had been TRYING to hit it, I could never pull it off.
rock on, brothers!
Right! I’ve played less, I got the game back in I think May (never played a previous version), but I really feel like I know when it’s my fault. I think I have a pretty good feel for the tempo to know when something isn’t right. It doesn’t happen a lot, and even when it’s acting weird I can still shoot decent, but its still a little frustrating. My nephew has a similar problem. Actually now that I think about it, there’s been times in the past where my backswing would stop for no reason. He would just pull the club up to his knee or whatever, and it would just stop and reset. This could happen for multiple attempts before finally getting a full backswing. It hasn’t happened in a couple weeks so I forgot about it. That definitely seems connection related, so if that can screw up....why can’t the tempo!

Unfortunately I can't play on PS4 as it totally messes up my PC tempo, wanted to switch between the two to have rounds with more members. Good luck for the rest of the weeks I just meant a little rivalry within this society, unless that was a subtle point that you'll always be at a disadvantage to me Not at all, I found it harder to hit a straight line on PS4 actually.

-3 -2 to start. Probably the best I've played on this course with no aids. I have a couple questions for you guys when it comes to flops, chips, green side bunkers, putting, and obstructed views around the green. 1. All my camera settings are set to wide (default?). I've noticed on some chips, flops, bunker shots directly around the green, if there is tall brush right behind you, it can obscure the view of your shot. Is changing the camera angle so you can see in front of you acceptable on these shots? I just picture if I was actually hitting these shots IRL, I wouldn't have an obstructed view. 2. Greenside bunkers. Is changing camera angles allowed? Again, I picture playing the shot IRL and having the ability to stand outside the bunker and/or walk the green to get a feel for the shot. 3. Putting. On longer right to left breaking putts, sometimes my golfer gets in the way of seeing the putt break/roll out. Again, IRL, I'd be able to see the entire putt. Is it ok to change the camera view (forward/folow cam?) to be able to see the entire putt? So depending on how everyone feels about these questions, I may have violated all three of these 1 or 2 times during my two rounds (cheater!!!). I probably should have asked first, but trying to rush to play before going to work, I was thinking, "surely it's ok". You know, the better to ask for forgiveness vs permission concept. At any rate, I may have done each of these once during my two rounds. If you guys feel it warranted to remove or not count my scores, I understand. Sorry for the long post. thx! Question 1to 3 no problems with me. I actually don't like seeing chipping out of bunkers because it's ridiculous that you can, but we have no rule against it.

I was only messing mate I've accepted PS4 has an advantage, the evidence is clear. What I don't accept is that PS4 is "easy." I think you're in a minority of one finding it harder! You helped motivate me to get my form back a couple of weeks ago hope I can keep it going and maybe close the gap on the season leaderboard!

Input lag from playing on a TV and lower fps than PC go against you though 😉 Yes you need some points to catch me this season. You finished above me most tournaments in season 1😁

Has anyone been caught out not checking their club off the tee? I swear in round 3 I had 3 holes (I think 2 were Par 5's) where the computer put a 2 wood in my hand instead of driver and I ended up leaving it on the corner in the rough, not clearing it as my driver would......grrrrrrr. Perhaps I'm rushing a little but it's usually the last thing you think of on long holes. Definitely be keeping an eye out in the future. Think I managed a -1 incl a 4 putt on the last par 5. Ho hum. I don’t think that’s happened to me in this, but in other societies...definitely! I have full normal swung a few times instead of chipping or flopping though. The funny thing I will realize he’s full swinging when I see the backswing go up, but panic sets in and I continue with the shot....instead of just stopping. I think the worst I’ve ever done though is putt off the tee. I'd sack your caddie for giving you the putter for a tee shot 😜

Round 4 going swimmingly....I'd chased down rob4590 and was -5 going into the par 3 (15th I think). A massive WTF moment on a diabolical pin placement. 2 chips to get on, overhit my putt by 3 feet and rolls off, 2 more chips to get close then in the hole for a 7. Game over for a -1 and -2 total. Another learning experience!! Cheers and good luck to you all...…...

Hit some unbelievably good approaches in round 2 and dropped some bombs for par as well but dropped too many shots along the way

Round 2 was -4 after 8 holes, playing faultless golf, gone to that alternate universe where every shot is the right distance for you, you never feel in trouble and you drop the putts.
Went bogie then double on 9 and 10, without doing too much wrong (some putts you can leave yourself here are absolute ****s!) kept my composure and battled hard down the stretch, played good golf but didn't really get rewarded, missed some putts by millimetres, including a curling 32ft with 1ft uphill on the short 17th. Nearly holed out my 2nd to 18 as well.
-2 is a very good round here, but wish I could've got the round I was heading towards.
Really happy with my temperament and strategy so far this tournament.

I never talk about my bad behavior in public. If I happen to mention that I said rude words in response to game events, you can rest assured that “rude” is a grand-canyon-sized understatement. So I’m with you Art. If he avoided that bad behavior in private, then my hat’s off to him because I do not possess that level of self-control! 😀

Hi guys. I kept forgetting to update the schedule with the results of the vote, but have done it now. The 4 courses selected are Congressional, Pinehurst No.2, Bethpage Black PGA 19, and PGA National Champion Tour. 3 have been added before the Euro swing, and 1 after. The schedule is really taking shape now! Just a couple of minor events to add for the near future. Courses that didn't come in the top 4 still obviously have a chance of getting in later. We'll probably do another vote. I must say, I've playtested Erin Hills since setting up the poll and it is absolutely fantastic. Whistling straits style visually, but more conventional in its setup, long and difficult.
Only 2 weeks till the masters! Eeeeek!
Here's the updated schedule- 1- US minor (Whistling Straits) 2- US big (Merion East tournament) 3- US minor (Fisher's island LiDAR) 4- US big (Oakland hills South) 5- US minor (Pine Valley GC LiDAR) 6- US big (Hazeltine) 7- US minor (Bay Hill Club and Lodge) 8- US big (Oakmont CC LiDAR) 9- US minor (Spyglass Hill torunament) 10- US big (Bellerive CC 2018 PGA) 11- US MAJOR (MASTERS)(Magnolia National) 12- US minor 13- US big (Congressional country Club) 14- US minor (Baltursol lower PGA 2016) 15- US big (Pinehurst No.2 Tour) 16- US MAJOR (USPGA)(TPC Harding park) 17- US minor 18- US big (PGA National Champion Tour) 19- US minor (Olympic Club- Ocean (L) ) 20- US big (Medinah CC no3 LiDAR) 21- US MAJOR (US OPEN)(Winged foot west) 22- Euro minor (Killeen Castle) 23- Euro big 24- Euro minor 25- Euro big (The West course) 26- Euro minor (Belfry Brabazon) 27- Euro big 28- Euro MAJOR (UK OPEN)(Royal St George's) 29- Euro minor 30- Euro big (Ryder Cup 2018 Albatros) 31- Euro minor 32- Euro big 33- Euro Minor (Valderama LiDAR) 34- Euro Big (The Celtic Manor Resort) 35- Euro Minor 36- Euro Big (Green Eagle Nord (tour) ) 37- Euro Minor 38- US minor(Hamilton G&CC CDN open) 39- US big (Torrey Pines South 2019) 40- US minor(Chicago GC) 41- US big (Bethpage Black- 2019 PGA) 42- US minor (Coeur D'alene) 43- US minor 44- US big 45- US minor (Olympia Fields) 46- US minor (Detroit GC Rocket Classic) 47- US big 48- US big (Shinnecock Hills) 49- US big (Firestone Country Club) 50- US big (TPC Sawgrass) 51- US big (TPC Boston) 52- US "tour championship" (Major points)(East Lake)

This was when I first learned about being able to use putt cam off the tee, I was paranoid for a few weeks after that mishap (not gonna lie, still kinda am lol)

No broken hardware though. Anyone suffer the same fate as me? Tip for those still to play that hole in Rd 4, DON'T GO LEFT. Cheers and good luck.
