I have been interacting with a few of you on twitch streams, as I recognize some of the names. I have been polite, well mannered, and had no issues with anyone. One forum post and now THIS will be what I'm labeled for? Seems fair to me. This is it, so go ahead and make your personal attacks and try to keep this going. I'm done trying to explain myself to a bunch of cry babies who can't take ONE negative comment in a sea of positive ones. No matter how it was put, interpret it how you want, doesn't affect me at all. So enjoy the forum, enjoy the game, and enjoy each other's farts. Bye. Dang, pretty bummed to come across this thread, for a few reasons. First and foremost, how did Terry get brought into this? LOL I actually haven't played the course yet, but I'll be sure to do it on stream so that my reactions can be public, whether positive or negative. What's interesting to me personally, is that I think every person who responded in this thread follows me on Twitch (#humblebrag), but the reason I point that out is because in all of my interactions with every single one of you, I've never had any issues with this crew. It bums me out to have anybody here labeled as a cry baby, because I think this is a very supportive design community. Likewise, I can certainly understand the reaction people would have to the initial post due to the emotional comments being made, as I myself would probably react as a designer to those things. With that said, I don't think interactions in small doses can define us in a forum, so I'd like to think that all people involved could hopefully move forward from it and stay involved in the design community. (bird emoji) Just went to watch the VOD and almost the entire stream is muted, for music reasons i assume.

Ha, I very seldom go back to a thread after being there once. However, thought I'd check this after seeing all the pages. Agree with some of the critique, think CSU said it perfectly.
Hey, as Adam said, free advertising is great.

Ah, unfortunately that is true, my VODs are nearly worthless because of song requests in my streams now.
All I did was play the course though, I didn’t do any full-on review. I didn’t find the fairways to be unfairly skinny, but I can see where they might seem that way in very high winds. I did make some constructive criticisms regarding the fairway bunkers, but it was mostly golf architecture & strategy related, and on a few occasions I didn’t like where they were and made suggestions.
I think we can all acknowledge that this course doesn’t even come close to any “worst course” categories, so no need to re-hash that. I would have to say that there is way more good than bad in this design, and with some different decisions it would have improved playability. But I shot under par in default winds I think, so nothing unreasonable.
My summary of this course would be that I would love to see more designs from Australian, because he’s got a lot going in the right direction. He acknowledges that the circular bunkers were overused, so therefore it’s a successful project because he can take those insights with him to future designs.
I think those were the basics of what I said on stream. It wasn’t a contentious play-through at all, I just wanted to see what the buzz was about. I see no reason everyone can’t take something constructive from this.

Not to beat a dead horse but I finally got a chance to give this course a try last night.
Disclaimer: I am not very good at the game and can routinely make a mess out of easy courses.
I actually enjoyed it a ton and thought it was really well done. Just gotta lay off the driver and think about shot placement. Pro clubs would probably be more of a struggle from the back.
If a hack like me can shoot -2 in medium winds the course is in no way unfair. Granted I played well for me.
Thanks for the design. Gave ya 5 stars to boost that rating up a little bit.

Damn Australian, reading lots of this just makes me even more excited to see your CC course. Will give it a play once I've managed to finish this marathon that is Gänglesee...
