This has to be the worst course i have ever played (Attack on the designer), any kind of wind and 50% of the holes are unplayable. Had this in the Open society with 20mph winds (Attack on the society schedulers), no one hit near 50% FIR and barely shot under par. The skinniest fairways i have ever seen on an course, with deep bunkers sitting in the middle of them lol (Criticism of the course, but I wouldn't call it constructive thanks to the 12 year old lol that you use so often.). sorry if this is out of line (very) but damn, seeing dudes say "awesome course" to this (attack on the community)? whats next, a course with only rough and green (sounds cool, you ever tried the putt putt courses?). Wouldnt be as bad if some of the holes werent 500 yard par 4s with no chance to hit the fairway, and 2 shots just to get to the green after that. forcing bogeys on every hole isnt "tough", and to call this a "tour" course? just wow.....(super constructive dots, nice. Also he clearly stated that it is titled "tour" because he added the tournament objects to a previous design just for fun)
and i hate for my first post to be like this (us too), but after playing this and just knowing i was goin to find it posted here because of how "pro" you made it look (another attack on the community), i just had to vent. still cant believe they featured this on something (another attack on your society mods). prob doesnt matter because the bots on the pro tours prob still shoot -40 on it lmao..... (attack on actually good players)
You're right man. Super confused on why we took this first post the wrong way. Our bad.

You're right man. Super confused on why we took this first post the wrong way. Our bad. Kind of redundant when I already admitted it was tactless and in the heat of the moment. And "the worst course ever" was hyperbole, and an attack of the course itself not the designer. If i said, "whoever made this course is the worst designer ever", then I could see your point. Also, thanks for the behind the music interpretation of my entire post man, clearly doesn't show how touched you are over one opinion. On one course, in a game. And also telling me what i meant in each sentence. Are you a mind reader? And it was a joke about the bots on pro tours, i you went back an accessed my use of lol, but ignored the ironic lmao at the end of that? Come on, no we are cherry picking from the ivory tower. Either way, I'm sorry this offended so many people. Obviously i needed to take a bit after i finished playing it, and then posted here. Or just not posted at all. And an average player like me(not like the "ACTUAL good players") will see this and think, oh they say it's awesome, let's play it. Again, if you guys just want positive praise, and borderline "negative" feedback here, that's fine. I get it.

Wow. Just wow. I give it a month max.... Tottenham, have you posted your course on the completed thread by chance? No, because I'm a noob and there's no point to post it here. And I'll be here longer than a month because this is my last thread. From now on I'll keep any negative opinion I have to myself and just sit back and watch the echo chamber.

I have been interacting with a few of you on twitch streams, as I recognize some of the names. I have been polite, well mannered, and had no issues with anyone. One forum post and now THIS will be what I'm labeled for? Seems fair to me. This is it, so go ahead and make your personal attacks and try to keep this going. I'm done trying to explain myself to a bunch of cry babies who can't take ONE negative comment in a sea of positive ones. No matter how it was put, interpret it how you want, doesn't affect me at all. So enjoy the forum, enjoy the game, and enjoy each other's farts. Bye.

I have seen many courses given constructive criticism, often without mincing words (especially in the official contest threads). But it is just that, constructive. It seems like you came in saying this course is horrible without making concrete points or suggestions for improvement.
A lot of the very difficult courses are rated below 4 stars because they are designed for a niche audience that plays this game obsessively. They can be frustrating to play if you aren't proficient with master clubs. The good news is there are tons of courses out there, with something to please everyone.
I am curious if you could share your experience with the game (hours played, handicap, club set used) and some courses you did like.

Well done Australian! Good looking course that was fun and challenging to play. Didn't get round to playing this when you first published, but the free advertising from this thread drew me in! Look forward to seeing your future courses.

My current list of favorites are Susquehannock(major), Canyata, Metamoura, Ardoilean, St Andrews, Bethpage Black, Pebble Beach, Sedgefield, and a few im forgetting at the moment.

Ha! No worries Tottenham man. Sounds like it really got your blood boiling. Yeah there's some narrow fairways for sure and some punishing bunkers. Particularly in very high winds and when playing the pro clubs. There's also some greens that are tough to find in regulation in those conditions. And they're like glass when you do. But I really do believe there are ways to pick your spots, pick your moments and manage your way around here to a decent score. That's really the aspect of this game I love the most. The battle. Fighting with the course and conditions to churn out the best number possible. And that's all I was thinking really whilst designing The Herringbone. Take the birdie, and even eagle opportunities when you can get them and hold on for grim life when you can't. Take it easy bloke. 🤙

Ok I played this for the 1st time with very high winds, very fast and very firm greens. Shot a +2, was expecting a round in the 80s from reading the comments on how tough and unfair the course is. Is it tough? yes, Is it unfair? No frickin way, The fairways are wide enough for a course that is supposed to be tough. You have to know when to lay off the driver. I'm sure the more experienced players will break par in any conditions, probably not -20 but still break par. So tottenhamordie I think you just had a bad round and decided to take out your frustrations on the course and the designer. Next time I suggest you step back, breath in and out a few times, then roll a big fat one and forget about the round I do have one big complaint, the clubhouse was not stocked with any whiskey or Bourbon. I was shocked, the only drinks they offered is Rum and Cherry Coke Hmmm VctryLnSprts ... had to settle for a glass of milk and cookies Great course, I gave it 5 stars and last I checked it was at 4.5 with 1178 plays.......

No whisky? In Scotland? Outrageous! Worst course ever! I will get on to the bar staff immediately. Probably Barbara working the late shift. 😉
