I'm starting up a new twitch series where I'll stream some hardcore golf with most of the aids turned off. For the most part, I'll be trying to break par on courses I haven't played before. Here are the settings I will be using - Grids off
- Wind indicator off
- aiming reticule off
- Scout Cam on (for camera on green) but manually not used on course
- Follow cam off (but never manually used - even to watch ball land on green - the odd great shot may get a replay though to see what happened!)
- Ghost balls off
(yes that is a v at the end, not a y)

Doylev?.. Is that your Russian name? Ha, you got it. Stems from my Ea Sports NHL days during college. Sergei Doylev was my alter ego...and Doylev stuck at the time.

Results will be updated in OP as well e01 - Gewella Golf Course (4-under, 68)Wind: light - likely in the 2-4mph range Recap: Started off great - lots of easy putts the first 5 holes and then it started getting tougher. Read a few breaks into straight putts and vise versa. Hit a couple of bad putts on the B9 that caused the two bogies - both on 3-putts. Had visions of 10-under in my head as I left the 5th green but then played 1-over from that point on!

I think this might catch on doylev. I remember playing your no grid tour and found it very rewarding when i had a sub par round. Just something more realistic about the whole experience. Thanks for sharing.

e01 - Gewella Golf Course (4-under, 68)
Great just found a way to watch past broadcasts on my phone so il enjoy watching these. U started really well on that front nine. Thought for a minute.. nothings changed, just another course being torn apart. Still -4 was decent.

Par or Bust: Ojibway Bay GC e02 - Ojibway Bay GC (4-over, 76)Wind: breezy - likely in 7-12mph range Recap: This looks like it would be a tough track with all aids on. I couldn't lock in the wind on the front 9 and never really had a sniff at birdie. The greens were complex making anything outside 6 feet and adventure. Was able to get it together on the back nine, making a pretty nice putt for birdie on 17. Couldn't ride that momentum into 18 as a bad drive plugged me into bunker and then I couldn't get up and down from 19 yards. Overall, tough course, but looked great. Would be interesting to see scores on it with aids on - I think it is one of the tougher tracks out there.

e03 - Lowlander Links at Cally Park (2-over, 74)Wind: Windy - was in the 12-15mph range, definitely hard to lock it in on a links course Recap: Lots of everything out there - birdies, pars, bogies, double bogey. Had a couple of good eagle looks. Driver was spotty - found the deep stuff on the 11th and it cost me 2 strokes. Very windy day out and it caused me to misjudge some short irons. Greens were not flat so reading them was a challenge. No easy putts out there today. Enjoyed the course - looked and played great.

I look forward to watching your round.

e04: Scarpacci Vineyard Black (2-under, 70)Winds: approx 7-12mph Recap: What a nice looking golf course! Really enjoyed the round here. Winds were up a bit so it was a challenge getting close to the hole. Managed to keep the three putts off the card which was a plus! Only bogey came on 4 where I found the green-side bunker and couldn't get up/down from there. Missed one or two birdie putts that I felt I had a chance at making but overall very happy to get around under par after my last few attempts were not as successful. Will definitely go back and play Scarpacci Vineyard Black again.

I tried no aids except overhead and putting/approach cam last night at Pinehurst #2 and surprisingly shot -4. This is mostly due to knowing the greens, but still I only regularly shoot in the -5 range there so it felt like a real accomplishment.
One thing I found that I loved doing was lining up my putt or chip and then using the Putting cam to set up a new camera angle and swing from that angle, such as overhead, ground level, reverse, etc. It makes it just a slight bit harder, but it's cool to look at. It's like the camera shot in TV coverage where they zoom in on just the putter head and the hole (which always causes the player to miss, btw).

e05 - Magnolia National, Georgia (Saturday) (4-over, 76)wind: gusty - 9-14 mph (estimate) Recap: After birdie on the first hole I had all the confidence in the world that I would be able to tame this beast. Didn't take long to lose that though as the greens of Magnolia National are not kind to us gridless golfers! A couple of long putts, some bad reads and some bad luck left me hanging on to tie my worst Par or Bust score. Some courses are just not meant to be toyed with!
