The BCT travels to Outcrop Trail Golf Club this week, and straight off of finishes that left them both a bit hungover, Darryl A. Montgomery and Victor Lane have decided to tee it up immediately this week to jump out in front of the field. Luckily for TGC Tours, the TV cameras were already on site because of the extra time and logistics required to run the cables, cords, and ShotLink devices around the sprawling property that Outcrop Trail sits upon, so every shot of their rounds will be televised on Twitch (VctryLnSprts channel).
Rumor has it that they'll have a new guy tagging along as well, some dude named Jeremy Mayo, who used to be a pretty good player back in the day, but has since let his skills diminish due to becoming a world-renowned course designer. It should make for an entertaining event!
The round 1 tee time for this gnarly threesome is at 10:36am EST.

Rookie Jeremy Mayo, nerves frayed from a spate of missed PGA Tour cuts and losing to Scobb in his weekly online show, got an quick initiation to the BCT from living tour legends Victor Lane and Darryl A. Montgomery. The two invited him to the infamous RV for a "pregame" meeting the night before, parked right behind the 9th green for a 9 p.m. rendezvous. Mayo figured it was going to be a casual meeting to discuss strategy, and may a friendly wager. So he brought a six-pack of tournament sponsor product for the occasion.
Getting to the RV proved to be more of an event than anticipated as a throng of women wearing white "I Love Darryl" tee-shirts surrounded the mobile abode. The party was already in full swing when the irrigation system turned the gathering into a massive wet T-shirt contest. Somehow, Mayo got put into one of the T-shirts while trying to make his way through the crowd and, by the time he made is way thought the sprinkler-soaked mosh pit, it became clear how "The Mantis" really got its name. Soaked, tired, and mildly confused from what he just witnessed, Mayo decided to make his way back to the hotel, dry off and call it an early night in front of the BCT debut.
Rumor is, that it got late ... and then it got early, at the RV. Mayo's observations backed this up as Lane reeked of rum and Cherry Coke as he stumbled to the first tee, while Montgomery's hair was unkempt and his close were disheveled and Mayo couldn't help but notice three different shades of fresh lipstick stains on his collar. Both looked much the worse for wear. Mayo thought it would be easy pickings.
Those thoughts quickly went away as Lane raced out to -6 through 6 holes, while Mayo labored to a front nine -2. Those two shots were quickly thrown away following a duck-hooked tee shot on the 10th that lead to double bogey. By the time round 1 was over, Lane had shot 58, 10 shots better than Mayo, who was beginning to wondering if there was a tour lower than the BCT he could join to ease his PGA Tour-frayed nerves.
Things slowly turned around for Mayo. -9 in Round 2, followed by -11 in Round 3. One more -9 in R4 got him to -33 for the championship. That included this tasty shot in the second round.
It's not going to win, but Mayo left the week satisfied. A few loose shots and bad tempo swings cost him a few strokes, but it felt good to be somewhat competitive again. Plus, Mayo got to witness an epic battle down the stretch between Lane and Montgomery in the final round.
Mayo has quickly understood the mantra of the BCT -- Play hard. Party harder -- and will be ready for the next tour stop (and Darryl's groupies) next week.

After last week’s tournament, in which Darryl’s winning streak was stopped by rising star PW3 and Victor barely cracking the top 15, the two packed into the old Winnebago and headed to the next stop. Victor’s winnings from last week barely covered his share of the gas, so he said, but oddly he always found the requisite cash for more Captain and cherry Coke. But Darryl wasn’t all that concerned, as he enjoyed the comedy that Vic provided, even if just by watching him struggle at basic life functions. The duo showed up early for the week, held a smashing good party near the 9th green on Saturday before the event, and enjoyed Mayo’s initiation to the BCT with his impromptu participation in the wet T-shirt contest. It was all fun and games until it was time to tee off (oh, who are we kidding, the debauchery didn’t end then either). Victor Lane somehow dragged his exhausted and hungover body to the first tee on Sunday morning after the all-nighter at the RV, with little hope of making a positive impression on his golf clubs. Perhaps it was the lack of expectation, the residual rum and coke coursing through his veins, or just pure adrenaline, but Victor played like the second coming of John Daly circa 1991 at Crooked Stick in round one! He came outta the gates like a horse without a jockey, putting and chipping the ball in from everywhere, and even despite his typical edged putts that leave him begging, Lane posted a blistering 58 to open the tournament at -14. He was just as shocked as anyone, and probably would’ve run to the scorer’s tent to sign his card if he were physically able to. Seeing his name above Darryl’s on the leaderboard was exciting, so now all he needs to do is find that mojo three more times in the same week.

As the field starts to fill out and first round scores are posted, Victor comes to the harsh realization that there are many golfers in pursuit. He tends to focus on his rival from the RV a little too much, but all of the top 5 have double-digit scores under par, including Daniel Waring and Brian Jeffords, two guys he plays a lot of golf with outside of the tours. Not only that, fellow tour rivals Hector Vazquez, Mike Georgiades, John Gripmore, and Justin Chantres haven’t even teed off yet in round one, not to mention big names like Preston Winthorpe III, Jeff McCord, and others who always play near the lead. Some of those edged birdie putts are creeping back into Victor’s mind, as he lifts the glass to his lips for another sip of his favorite drink.

Darryl is surely not as skilled of a writer that Victor and Jeremy seem to be. And let's be honest, he can barely read. But as for the tournament this week, Victor proved in round 1 how valuable a pre-party is. The aforementioned RV is quickly becoming the place to be the night before round 1 tee times. A place for friends to let loose with their drink of choice and have fun hours before teeing it up. Jeremy started out with a few butterflies and struggled early to steer his ball. Although once he settled down, he showed that he will certainly be a force to be reckoned with when his game is on. Victor came out hot, and I mean hot. Thru 4 holes he was -4 and had only used his putter 2 times. Vaulting himself to the top of the leader board early on was certainly great for his confidence. His 58 in round 1 was well earned and proved to other top players that he meant business this week. Darryl on the other hand had to play from behind the whole round. Not being able to make up any strokes to Victor was tough mentally. But with so much golf to play, he wasn't defeated. He knew that if he kept to his game, things might just go his way. He was happy with a -12 (60), skipped a post round practice session and was seen back at the RV making hot pockets, drinking malt liquor and mentally preparing himself for round 2. Drama was surely in the works this week. If anyone hadn't noticed, the BCT is getting bigger. With more and more people showing interest, the tour's revenue is skyrocketing. This led to higher payouts last week. Darryl felt like he'd won the lottery and although he should be saving some of it, be blew it all on a few things he needed, but mostly random stuff he didn't. Below is how Darryl chose to spend his winnings: Totaly Payout - $3,749 Gas to Sonny's Willow Run for next weeks Copa da Zika - $368.53 Liquor store - $322.95 Disco ball for pre-parties - $481.78 Fuzzy dice for the RV - $5.23 New horn for the RV that sounds like a semi truck - $624.52 8k TV for the RV - $1589.76 Satelite dish - $254.05 Cheetos - $15.47 3 sleeves of Slazenger Tour golf balls - $12.71 15 Totinos frozen pizzas - $18.79 Fanny pack - $10.22 Blue Moon Invitational tank top - $26.43 John Daly poster for the RV - $9.75 Money to be saved - $24.28 We're riding in style now boys! Below is the Daly poster that Darrly just couldn't live without!

After seeing the state Darryl A. Montgomery and Victor Lane rolled onto the 1st tee in he was sure that he might have their measure this week but after watching their rounds it was clear that they were at the height of their game. Whether it was the pressure or just bad luck, things just didn’t fall Mike’s way. Mike would only manage a solitary birdie on 7 to be -1 at the turn, things would improve on the back nine however making birdie on holes 10, 12, 13 and 16 with an eagle on the 18th and the lone bogie for the round on 17 for a -6 1st round. The 2nd round would be much of the same with the ball simply not wanting to drop, consecutive birdies on 4, 5, 6 & 7 followed by birdies on 10, 11, 12, 14, 17 & 18 would give him a nice -10 for the 2nd round and -16 overall. Mike will have a lot of work to do over the last 2 rounds to stay in the top 20.
Some clips below showing no matter the distance or type of shot things just wouldn't fall for Mike Georgiades.

Breaking news: After yet another heart breaking top 5 last week. Chantres has REFUSED to leave Timbercreek Canyon GC. Despite being asked to leave multiple times by course management, it is reported that he continues to linger around the driving range and ramble about his old days on the Euro Tour. To his surprise, many have no idea who he is or what in the actual hell he is talking about. To make matters worse, caddie Jack Daniels overheard and immediately got involved, resulting in a "hard to watch" physical altercation with the 16th flag-stick after mistaking it for PW3. And again, Chantres lost... Beat down, wasted, and now flat broke after that last jumbo bucket on the range, it seemed there was no hope of ever turning the corner and getting that highly coveted 1st win... but then... the 2nd round scores were posted.... It seemed impossible, a mistake maybe... VICTOR LANE at the top of the leaderboard...? How could this be? How could he look Darryl in his girly pink RV eyes and overcome that kind of pressure...? Anything and i mean ANYTHING must be possible this week. A now very motivated, still drunk, but motivated Chantres is here to announce the tee time for Thursday night is set.

Victor Lane arrived surprisingly on-time for his second round tee time with fellow competitors Jeremy Mayo and Darryl A. Montgomery, perhaps fired up after an opening round -14 saw him tied for the lead with Daniel Waring, thinking this could be a great week! Unfortunately, the round got off to a slow start for Victor, being just -4 through the opening nine holes, including a par on the par 5 ninth hole. Thankfully, Mayo and Montgomery weren’t getting out ahead of him because they had equally pedestrian front halves, and that put Victor’s nerves at ease, giving him confidence to rattle off eight birdies over his next nine holes to put up a very strong -12 in round two, putting him at -26 for the event. All things considered, after such a mediocre performance the week before, he felt great about his position on the leaderboard. Round two was bogey-free for this trio, but the highlight of the day had to be the ace that Jeremy Mayo has on hole 14, a gorgeous shot that looked good from the moment the ball left the tee. The only question is, did the party at the RV featuring loosely-flowing booze as they celebrated the ace put Victor behind the eight-ball for the final two rounds?

Hector forgot how to putt. All the money he earned with a top 10 finish last week got to his head. He's too busy worrying about saving up for a new vehicle to travel to tour stops and completely abandoned the real money maker... his short game.
I guess Darryl and Victor's lifestyle has Hector dreaming too much. Next week the focus will be back on good tequila and golf!

It seemed like it was turning out to be a pretty good week through the first two rounds of the event, Victor Lane hadn’t kept his 100% FIR stat going, but his flagstick was working on the greens and he had battled to -26 at the halfway point and a one stroke lead. Round three started off great for Vic, as he quickly rose to -5 thru 7 holes, but a sloppy putt on the eighth produced his first bogey of the tournament. The crowd seemed a bit surprised, but were quickly relieved when he came back with birdie on nine. However, after a few more birdies to start the back, he again made a bogey on hole 15, and despite a solid finish after, he had already given up a stroke to Darryl A. Montgomery for the day. In the grand scheme of things he was still very pleased, because he held a three shot lead over Darryl headed into the final round. Even rivals Jeff McCord, Mike Georgiades, John Gripmore, and Hector Vazquez we’re still trailing, as well as fellow playing partner Jeremy Mayo, who also shot -11 in round three. But those bogeys would prove costly upon further review, as Daniel Waring has now taken over the lead by those two shots, not to mention rival Brian Jeffords racing into the picture! Not only that, PW3 hadn’t even played round three yet, and Justin Chantres was still get to report. Victor couldn’t help but feel his anxiety getting higher, and even the rum and cherry coke wasn’t keeping it at bay. He was going to need one of those -14 type rounds he had in round one to hold serve. He was close to a win, and for a split second he even wondered if partying should be put on hold for tonight. But that thought was fleeting, as he picked up his phone, hit the D.A.M. button, and said, “are we still on at the RV tonight?”
