What type of mouse do you have? It is pretty easy to look up all the potential features of both the hardware of the mouse and the software. I would suggest looking in the manual.

In other news on Tuesday I get my new computer case which will be step #1 in working towards a complete water cooled system. Ideally this will bring temps down enough that I can get over 5GHz on the processor and video cards over 8 GHZ. Won't do a bunch for TGC but other games it is going to rock. Hope you arnt talking core speeds on those vid card(s)

Thanks Doyley. I'm looking into the issue now. Maybe you guys could add a bullet to the Straight Shot policy regarding mouse software and potential issues with mice if people are getting consistent white line shots. As is, if it wasn't for this thread, I would never have known about potential issues with software. I highly doubt new players who are aware of this either. Seems like an easy thing to do and would provide some clarity. Brighttail, what don't I have!? I'm going to plug in a Corsair tonight that I have and mess with the Link software as you highlighted. The cheapo wireless Logitech has been my go to for quite some time. I highly doubt it has software, but I'll check. Or maybe I won't, I just killed it out there using a XB1 controller. One of my lowest scores of the year and I only hit 2 shots white line. Maybe the whiteline doesn't matter after all

Maybe the whiteline doesn't matter after all If the It is a gaming mouse it will come with the Gaming Software that I posted screen captures. Once again it wasn't the software that was the issue technically. It was the fact that I used the software for another game and saved it to the physical memory of the mouse and forgot about it. WHen I thought I was using the software to turn off the items that allowed my swing to be straight, I didn't save those settings to memory and overwrite the original settings. I thought just by clicking the items off, it would automatically do that, but found out later it did not. It is very simple. If you are hitting over 50% of yoru shots perfectly straight, hell over 40% you have something turned on that shouldn't be. Since clearing the memory and rewriting it with the software turned off, I would say 10% max of my shots are perfectly straight. It is a real eye opener considering I have never played this game any other way, so it is taking some time getting used to it. I'm finding that with the brace on I tend to push the shots right with it off i pull left. Then I find myself trying to compensate or anticipate and that is when you get an under powered shot (something that never happened before) or a shank. Fun times!

Brighttail - After all your honesty, sincerity and willingness to find a solution... instead of sulking and walk away from TGCtours like a few others have...., you deserve to keep your place and tour card. You and the admin team have handled this brilliantly. Brighttail +10 TGCtours +10

I'm lucky to hit 2 or 3 perfect shots in a round, and even then it's usually a 3 wood off the tee and doesn't really help much. I think I've spent more time this year tinkering with my technique on the dual shock 4 than poor old Tiger has on his new swing...

Im not sure I dare say I use a mouse as well, but fortunately I have never installed the software, or stored any macros onboard it. I dont think I can do it anyway. Regarding whitelining, I think, if im lucky, I hit about 1-3 perfect straight shots on a round. Thats it. Thats like 5% tops? If you are even CLOSE to 20-30% there is something fishy, because even with low DPI settings, its just not possible to be that straight. NB; glad it worked out for you Bright, and kudos to you. Hope your not the one that keeps me out of the WGC tho...

Taste - you are right in point. This is an issue. Stock controllers is the best for sure and mouse tweaking will be something us console people will have to live with unless the tours are split per system, and for that I think we need some more players... I do believe that PS4 guys are still doing quite well, at least over in Europe.
Do you have experience playing with mouse as well? I hate it, but when I do play with it (design on PC) I find that shots are either dead straight or outside cone with nothing in between pretty much. May be some software setting, I dont know. Don't care since I only use it for playtesting. Sure that if I practiced a bit i could reach same superhuman accuracy as brighttail. So - maybe this is what some mouse users are struggling with until they "get it" and lock in on the dead straight shots? Let's give Brighttail the benefit of the doubt here.

The solution is to remove PC players from tours But i don't think (or expect) that to ever happen!

The solution is to remove PC players from tours But i don't think (or expect) that to ever happen! Why because console players can't or don't tweak their devices. Look up, look out, the grey you see is a rock. Surely you cannot be so naïve as to think only PC players tweak their devices. However I recognize you are not alone in this thinking. However In actuality I do not think you and others are that naïve, but in fact are preying on the naivety of others. I believe you and others know exactly how easy it is to tweak your console devices and attempt to hard to deviate the discussion to PC players only.
What's the old saying, doth protest to much.
Lets not kid ourselves here, nor should we let others attempt to fool any of us, there is no device or console safe from the easy and simple tweaking of the device, and anyone telling you different is lying, and IMHO, more than likely tweaking their own device and making a lame attempt at diverting your attention. But lets just face the facts, it's the tweaking that's the problem not the device.

I would motion for a change of "rule", that you cant see what system a player is on, when you hover over the name. I have played since TW97 or something, and obviously I have seen my fair share of players "over"-play.
Now it has come to this, that Im being suspected of foul play just because I wont invest in a PS4 or XB1, or any other controllers for that matter, that is really not to my liking.
So, I will play on, with my average about -8 to -10, dependant on what wind I get, and leave you consol guys alone. It seems like you do quite well with your systems, so...

Read my post above yours, it's all total BS, no need to change a thing, I dare say anyone wish to tell me I'm wrong. I have yet to see anywhere where 2 rubber bands help the mouse!!!!!!!

Dare accepted: You're wrong! Kidding aside, this thread has put the difficulties the mods face into context regarding their abilities to regulate the issue. Maybe HBStudios and tgctours can work together to address it somehow in the future, or maybe that's wishful thinking.
