I don't think I'll believe that it's going to work until Gary Bettman slides the Cup over to the winning captain from at least 6 feet away. I do think they have a better chance of seeing that happen than baseball does as I still can't believe they think having players travel all over the place is a good idea.

Apparently there were 4256 tests administered during the 18-25th with zero positive tests. Guess if they follow the guidelines it has a chance. Big if though...

And the Marlins of baseball already have 8 cases in players and 2 in staff. Combined with the NHL numbers you just posted it gives a good early indicator of which restart protocols have the better chance at being successful.

And the number of Marlin cases keeps going higher each time I hear about it.
Saw a news report about the Toronto NHL bubble and it seems some fans didn't get the memo that they're not welcome there. The whole area is walled off but there were fans trying to stick their heads through the gaps, or hanging out on the street waiting in the hopes they'd see a bus drop off some players.

Baseball is dumb and needs to shut it down. Now, back on topic... Was sooo good to finally see hockey again! And Helly was in fine form last night. Too bad he didn’t get the shutout. Jets are gonna be a tough out. Regardless who they play against. Jets take down the Flames in 4.

Go Flyers! F the Bruins But I hope they all stay safe. This still just feels like another exhibition game to me. I know it’s for seeding purposes but “home ice” is irrelevant and the performance in a regular season that finished 4 1/2 months ago is only slightly more relevant.

It’s all about getting that mojo and momentum back in gear for the Flyers. Would also love to see a situation where the Bruins and Pens play each other in the next round.

You know full well that the Bruins will face either Toronto or Montreal in the next round. No matter what they do over the years to change the playoff format those always seem like the inevitable 1st round opponents for the Bruins.

7013 Covid tests done last week and 0 positive results. Certainly a promising sign that the NHL is doing this right and may actually be able to see a champion crowned.

I am so glad the Bruins don't have to play one of these five game series. Not because they're clearly off their game at this point but because 5 games just feels freakishly short, especially if your team loses game 1. I can see it with the Maple Leaf media I can't avoid here where there are already post mortem articles breaking down what went wrong and how doomed they are. Of course, if the win game 2, especially if it's convincing we'll see articles declaring how they're now a favourite to win the Cup.

A flukey goal by Bennett and a gift from Ehlers made this game closer than it should have been. We play this way again tomorrow and we win again. Jets in 4
