Be scared fellas if someone drops out... ๐๐๐ Hole 1: Par 4, 541 Yards, "The Gale" I would wait til you had a decent foundation down before posting pics. I kinda see what you're going for, but there's just too many basic components missing to have any real sense of emotion or effort so far.

mayday_golf83Since I am forging ahead as if I will be in the lineup I wanted to ask a question that I think I know the answer to. When we play pga events it's always back tees; fair enough. But in life the tee location can be moved from day to day for a variety of reasons. What I want to know is if we can use tee locations strategically with the wind setup in our 4 round setups. Basically just not playing the same tee set all 4 rounds. I'm sure we can, but then I've never seen event set up like that either

Basically just not playing the same tee set all 4 rounds. I'm sure we can, but then I've never seen event set up like that either That's actually a really good question, but the short answer is no. Basically it comes down to the limitations that are put on the societies, which allow you to set only one set of tees per tournament. Naturally, then, the default for PGA is the tips because, yeah, we're on the PGA. Back in the day of TGC1, we had tours, which allowed us to move tees from day to day. But, we also had to publish 4 versions of each course for tour uses to change the tee/pin locations for each round. Tours went the way of the dodo bird in TGC2 and we got the societies that we all know and tolerate today. It's too bad, because I'd love to change tee positions day to day ... especially considering the USGA's recent trend of shortening a par 4 and making it driveable one round ... but unfortunately, the current society structure just doesn't allow for it.

Glad I asked early that's for sure. Have we pestered hb enough about this issue or should we all go over there at the same time and hassle them?

Do you like banging your head against a brick wall? Might be less excruciating than getting anything out of HBS.

No idea what I want to do for this. First time in like a week I've even loaded the designer and I can't even decide on a theme.

Besides, itโs early in the contest, no need to have anything set in stone yet. Exactly, no point stressing, the best courses come from a relaxed, contented state of mind in any case. A designer's motto should always be "don't quarry, be happy".
