Nope I know people wind wait. I just didn't but after this week I might start. The way I look at wind waiting is that here is nothing in the official rules here that says we can't wait and there is nothing to prevent people from doing it from HB Studios' side. So if others are doing it to gain an advantage on the field, why shouldn't you? This is why many people who log on, find a favourable wind, completely all their 4 rounds as quickly as they can, because they know if they wait 12 hours, they won't have that advantage anymore. Now before I get blasted for claiming "All people do this" or others saying, "Well I never wait, I play with what I have," Good for you all. You have a frame of mind much like those who voiced out against chipping on the greens. There is nothing illegal about wind-waiting or chipping on the green but because it isn't in the spirit of the game, you refuse to partake. While some will claim this is admirable, others will claim this is foolish, while others still will not care one way or another cause they are good enough to shoot well and win in any conditions. The simple truth is this will continue to be an issue until HB does something to address it. There is absolutely no way to police this currently. So we all have a simple choice: 1. Deal with it and move on, playing our games as we do and when we can. 2. Decide to do it ourselves and have our scores go down. 3. Continue to whine about it. Either way, I think the wind is the least of our worries. The average score on the PGA for the winner over the last 5 weeks has been 233 or about -13.75 under par for each round or 59 per round. I don't know about you all, but my best single round score has been 58 and I have only scored under 60 two times in 5 tournaments. I know I don't have the skill (even without the thumb injury) to compete with the elite players. The administrators have been giving us easier tournies because they know if they gave us tougher ones, the difference between the top and lower scores would only grow and people would become more discouraged, but you know something, that is okay. I play to have fun. I don't have the time in my day to practice this game to get as good as the top players, I wish I did, but I don't. So if people want to wind-wait so they can score a little better and get closer to the top tier, go for it. It is the same thing with chipping on the greens, if people want to do it to help them climb the ladder, more power to them. In the end it won't change who wins this thing, all it will do is shake up the middle a bit. So my thoughts, lets just play and have fun. The difference is in the putting. I am convinced of that.

Yeah, Doyley can hit just about everything within 25 feet, regardless of break. Damn those mathematical formulas!

Please note that I've been the very first to get all 4 of my rounds in on pc in the last 4 weeks. No waiting here. All 4 rounds completed within the first 2 hours after doyley opens them up. We all know that HB has the lowest winds at 12-3am I did not know that, but I'm usually gone to bed by then. However I have never played any links course at anytime where the wind did not have a wide range.
But in any event, the difference is indeed in the putting.

Played in around 13mph wid and considered myself lucky for it when playing a Links course. Really struggled in round 1, but managed to scrape together a few birdies in the 13-17 stretch to finish at -8. I figured I wasn't going to get better winds, only worse, so I played round 2 thinking I would miss the cut and just start practicing for next week. I got off to a better start, though, and the twitch comments gave me a much needed distraction so I could relax and play golf. Finished -10, -18 total.
I think that is safe for the cut, so I'll see what rounds 3 and maybe 4 have in store for me tomorrow.

Yeah well played was good to watch. I had 3 not too bad rounds 4th round started off with 3 shots in the 95% range over the 1st 4 holes, didn't have them at all the first 3 rounds' was -1 after 6 and limped home with a -10 on my last round so not too pleased with that. But on a good not still earning and making all the cuts, and being WGR#3 is pretty good at the moment and not won anything .

,and being WGR#3 is pretty good at the moment and not won anything . ya, you lucky bastard! i dont understand how you are 3rd lol, not to take anything away from ya. I was really shocked to see you move from 4th to 3rd when i went from 7th to 8th, and we tied last week. but I ran the other numbers too, or merely copy and pasted them: PGA: (me vs you, in this order for the entire list) Events Played: 4 each Money List: 5th vs 12th Best Round: 55 vs 56 Scoring Average: 61.1 vs 61.2 Final Round Scoring Average: 60.0 vs 62.8 1 win vs 0 win 2 top 5's each 2 top 10's each 4 top 25's each both 100% cut % 1.4mil vs 555K money 724.5 vs 302.25 FedEx Pnts week 1: T20th (-30) vs 5th (-42) week 2: we both tied for 18th (-33) week 3: 1st (-57) vs 5th (-49) week 4: T4th (-51) vs T25th (-45) week 5 = europe, we both tied for 2nd (-45)

Plus last week garcia had a bad week and slipped below jimgem and still above u. Then doyley won (again) to leapfrog u! Just the way these complicated ranking points work i guess.

Steve and taste....You guys made a mockery of this course. You better be able to putt to post a number here. Very few flat spots on these greens. I finished the week with 61, 60, 58, 61 for a total of -48. Might squeeze in the top 20. I did however record my 2nd TGCTours ace in as many weeks at the Par 3 2nd in round 3. Enjoying my final week as WGR #1 :-(
