Yes make sure you give more break to downhill over uphill also. The ball breaks quicker off the putter head with downhill putts because you have to hit them much more softly, even more so on faster greens. This coming from a hack, but I usually adjust more for downhill putts and the quicker they are the more I adjust. Again, advice from a hack so take it for what it's value may or may not be. Does this agree with the putting bible by Chad T?

oh yeah, I always adjust for more break on the downhill putts. Its one of the first thing the gamer friend that originally that got me into TGC2 taught me. (unfortunately, he never bought TGC2019, and has stopped playing altogether now)
But I'll be honest, I never really knew WHY the adjustment had to be made, what you just said, how you explained it, hammers1man . I only knew to adjust more, the steeper the hill.
And with that said, it never occurred to me that a faster green, would equal the same as being faster going downhill, because I never equated it to the ball rolling faster, and hitting softer, I just thought it was something to do with the slope itself. On a faster green, my thought was, well if the ball is rolling faster, its like when you thundercock it, and putt THROUGH the break, so therefore I was adjusting it the wrong way, as if I was putting harder, making it faster. But in reality, since its faster, I got to putt softer, and the break will affect it more.
wow. hope all that made sense, and I learned something today! now, to see if it translates to the rest of this tourney.
EDIT: Oops, I only saw page 128 after I posted. And there is your answer, Art Vandelay

Josia why not try 5 mins putting on the practice green before each round. Long, medium and short putts. Great way to get feel for green speed irl and it works in this game also

Two identical struck putts on a fast and slow green you may find that the ball travels 6 to 10 foot further on the fast green. So you have to compensate by hitting it softer on the fast green.

Great way to get feel for green speed irl and it works in this game also I thought that the putting green and driving range and such were just generic. Is there a way to do them before each round, with the conditions in that round you are getting ready to play?

On the right side is a practice area tab, press that. It's a practice area for the actual course, green speeds are the same as the course default speeds.
