Tenahka just curious do you play with a team you know, or randoms? I play with a guy I know, and we use discord to communicate. If you are with randoms, do you communicate with them in any way?
Also, the limited time mode, the team rumble thing, is really really fun.

I have some regular squad members. A few guys from here actually and then I also play with my little cousin and his friends. When I play with my cousins friends it's like solo sqaudding but with the guys from here, we try propper strategy, flanking, calling out where the enemy is etc.

Can anyone help? PS4 question I bought the Save the World pass on my account and I wanted to play co-op with my son who is in my family. He can play all of my games but can't play this. It sounds like I need to buy it twice. Has anybody found out if it's possible to do it without another purchase?

I had no idea this was totally cross platform until today. I have three kids, 2 on pcs and one on a wireless Nintendo switch all in the same game. Cool

Now that the game is so last month and they're offering the chance to earn a free battle pass I've been playing it actively for the first time ever over the last day or two. Figured I'd attempt to get the battle pass to see if that provides fun beyond hiding in bushes. Got 10 out of 13 challenges done and it has been more fun with side tasks. Even managed to kill a few people along the way. Now I just have to hope I can finish the last three challenges that don't require me to have a friend. Stupid game making things harder because I'm unpopular.

Oh yeah, if you don't get the two play with a friend ones, then you have to do every one of the other ones, right? Only one that would get me would be revive a player 3 times. I don't see that many people around to revive.
If you didn't realize, boffo , go into Team Rumble mode. Its MUCH easier to get challenges done that way. And the battle pass does make the game better for me, having those side quests.

I completed 12 challenges missing the three team based ones and the revive three players one, but it has registered as 13 and awarded the battle pass.
Still such a strange game to me since it seems like most players prefer dropping into high traffic areas which is such a horrible strategy if you're trying to survive as long as possible. Not getting killed is far more vital to success than getting kills is. I was easily getting top 10 finishes and a couple 2nd places by just actively trying to do what I needed to stay in as long as possible. One top 10 finish I didn't pick up a single item the entire game. I guess when the game is mostly populated by children they play like you'd expect children would.

Any of you guys playing the Save the World part, and messing with the new loadout system there?
You can really experiment and make lots of different types of playstyles and synergies now, I think, just got to put thought into it.
Last night, I came up with this outlander build, and I really liked it, after trying it out
Commander - First shot Rio, Outlander class
special ability is phase cannon, which shoots an extra energy damage thing from your ranged weapon on the first shot after you phase shift. regular abilities are
phase shift, (pretty much where Apex got Wraith's ability from, its the same thing) TEDDY, ( basically a turret, in the form of a big teddy bear) seismic something ( you hit the ground and it makes a straight line seismic thing that does big damage to anything standing on it)
team perk - phase somethingorover - makes that phase cannon trigger every 5 seconds as long as the weapon is not holstered, and not being shot.
support slot 1 - increase TEDDY duration by 4 seconds support slot 2 - increase TEDDY damage by 30% support slot 3 - gain 39 ( I think) healing every time you get an elimination support slot 4 - gain 12 healing each time you phase shift for each creature you phase shift through support slot 5 - gain 1% damage for each shot you take, stackable to 25, resets if you switch weapons, and I think there is a reset timer too if you dont' fire.
So the way to play is the keep using that phase cannon and short bursts. If I keep the weapon out, its always charged up for the first shot. Then if I'm fighting a big monster, I just have to remember to phase shift before each shot. If I phase shift through the monster, I also heal, then turn and shoot it from behind immediately after the phase with a phase cannon active. If I get swarmed, I put out the TEDDY and phase shift out of the middle of them. Using an assault rifle with high fire rate, if I need to start spraying, I'm almost always getting 25% damage on it, then. And that seismic shift is great for those stupid super shield guys, because the seismic thing goes under them, and knocks them down, then you can finish them while they are down without their shield.
I thought it was pretty cool, and thought I'd share! If you dont' play Save the World, its quite fun, and has a decent little story, and it makes it very easy to earn Vbucks.

Ok, you guys know by now that I love the Save the World part of this game
PIRATES HAVE COME TO THIS PART!!!!
Yes, this week, they took the Pirate theme from Season 8, and put the quests in for the Save the World part.
If you play this part of the game, the dialogue is just as good and hilarious as it has been in the past, go check out the event questline.
Actually, its worth it as always, the love stinks questline from Valentines is still there too, and can still be played. This one was great, it was equally as hilarious.
Seriously, if you don't mind doing the quests, the little stories they come up with and the voice acting for them are great.

I honestly can't believe there are people out there who have been playing this almost non-stop for 8 seasons. Just barely half way through the season and it's getting rather boring. I pretty much plow through the weekly challenges as quickly as possible now and then don't come back until the following Thursday. I've made it to battle tier 59 thus far which has earned me enough V-bucks to buy another season pass, but I doubt I'll want to until at least season 10 or 11.

I hear ya, boffo!
I played last season all the way to 100, it was my first season. And I earned enough vbucks to get this seasons pass. and I've barely played it. It was worth it to get the pirate outfit, but I just don't have a desire to play, other than the Save the World part. I'm sitting on 5000+ vbucks and about 16,000 gold in StW, simply because nothing interests me. no incentives, this go around, other than that pirate outfit that I got at the very beginning.
I've been playing around with PUBG now, simply because I can earn coupons to get keys to open all those stupid crates I got, without having to pay now. And to be honest, I like the BR part of it a bit better. I can't hit the broad side of a barn, but at least I don't have to worry about builders.

Been sitting on week 2 challenge of dealing damage with a cannon as the only weekly challenge I've been unable to achieve. It's been driving the OCD in me crazy for almost two months. Finally got it today along with all the week 9 challenges, so I'm finally all caught up. Got my first ever victory royale today as well in a squads match with three randoms. The whole team made it until the end. Up to battle pass level 89, so I think I'll make it to 100 without needing much if any grinding. Eager to be finished with this.

Just got my first ever solo victory royale. Found a treasure map early, so I had some good weapons. Made it to the final 10 not having seen another player but then proceeded to grab 4 eliminations while only taking 57 damage the whole game and not building so much as a single wall. I should probably just retire now.
