Did you get pinged Bob? Haven’t really followed ‘shortswinggate’, figured it was mainly newbs. It's actually top players that are being flagged... ask Brad! It's because of his post that I noticed that I could get in trouble with my swing and I did last exhibition event. Same swing for years, nothing special besides that I'm quite accurate and consistant. If I could putt I'd be top 10 easy, but I'm just better than average at it! Anyways, if your swing has any "finesse" to it, you're in trouble as the API will get and analyse partial swing data. And it makes you look like a robot is not as consistant as you are!

Well I hope they get it sorted for you guys. I pull the stick back fast then wait for the animation to catch up, then smack it forward just as hard as I pull it back. Tempo seems to be reasonably consistent now I’ve got it ironed out, it’s only on putts I get the shorter ones. #neanderthalswingbabyyeah

You guys and your pressure sticks. That what the wife is for. What a bunch of cheats Here... whatever you do, don't copy my swing, it'll get you flagged in no time! Now back to practicing to screw up that perfectly good swing to please the API. Thank you HB!

Rounds in QS and Ryder Cup so far have passed. I wanted to eventually ask about those rounds, but I know they are very busy this week and next so will hold off for the moment if passing checks.

I’d say good luck for the Ryder Cup, but I don’t want your team to win lol. How bout I hope you score some points instead?? Let me know if you do get pinged, I’d hate to miss the opportunity to call you a dirty dirty cheat 😉

I did a test last season so I know how they work

Just incase anyone cared. Looks like my scores this week have passed API. My swing remains the same but now using my other new controller (white) and still getting short lines not making it to the top, but my line is significantly wonkier! 😂. So im guessing the other controller wasnt as official as id thought even tho i brought it with the 1X brand new. Anyway good luck other folks getting sorted. Jules

Why are we trying to apply this binary logic to the TGC franchise: it's either full-sim - and we can't all agree on what that means - or it's arcade and it might as well have post-shot spin and mid-air corrections? Surely, a game can exist somewhere in between the two that is fun to play for many people and provides a fair mechanic, and an obvious metric to determine the best players.

Got to say that my oldest controller, the blue one, barely passed the API for the first four rounds of Q-School. I asked the fair play team as I didn't want to re-live the exhibition episode. So with my less effective, consistant swing and an older DS4 that has way more play in the mechanism, I still barely pass. They told me that if I improve that swing in the future I won't! Anyways my first four rounds are all here: It feels to me like a normal swing for my level of play. Tried really hard on every shot to complete my swing with so so results!

Jules Even official, stock controllers are prone to wild variations in sensitivity. This is why people suggest purchasing a new controller if someone is struggling to keep the swing feedback line in the swing plane. If there are some controllers that are more sensitive than average, then there must be some controllers that are less sensitive than average.

It is my experience that a newer controller has less variance (6 months vs 3.5 years) in TGC2019. So logic tells me a brand new one would tend to be even less varied. I would simply be throwing money at the chance that I get a "bad" or "poor" controller.

The mechanism feel more solid than on my old ones, thus keeping my swing more in line! Got them especially to avoid being in trouble with the API! Seems like new controllers are a big no no with TGC2019! grrr...

This was a 5 star course IMO and we need more like it on tours instead of the ridiculous unrealistic birdiefests. I hope coruler2 is listening!
