Should start this Sunday, whatever patch/update they do or when, it’s the same for everyone Can't agree with that, sorry... If we start this Sunday, and I play all of my 4 week 1 rounds under the current conditions, that I've been able to practice, then you start on Tuesday and have to play with different conditions for spin, rough, sand, launch angles etc... then how is that fair and how is it a solid base for an assessment in the differences in our skills at the game? As Jack says, they may still continue to tweak stuff behind the scenes, and we can't allow for that, but to begin before the "big server side patch" drops would make a complete mockery of Q-School and the reasons for doing it in the first place. That’s the chance you or I or anyone takes, real golf morning tee flat calm later tee time could be blowing a hooly rain, that’s the way it is

Game was unplayable for some after the update. Distances were totally out of whack. Can't have that here during Q-school!

You’re trying to say that changeable yet predictable weather conditions in real life are comparable to playing a video game in which conditions that would have you able or not able to stick a 9i next to the flag, or have a good chance / zero chance of getting up and down from rough 150 yds... This in a event specifically hosted so that all golfers skill levels can be fairly appraised... Ok.

You can wait till the following Saturday to get your rounds in, that way if patch drops you’ve got the advantage, if it doesn’t you’re the same as everyone else, ... those that want to play early and take the chance can do others can wait till the Saturday, either way you haven’t lost anything

The reason for Q-School is so that all of the existing player base, and new players that have not yet been placed on tours, can be assessed for the quality of their play and positioned on Tours that are appropriate to their skill level in order to create a competitive environment. There are no points or prizes for Q-School. They need everyone to play under the same conditions to achieve this. MASS Q SCHOOL IS NOT A REGULAR OCCURRENCE. I’m as keen, if not more so than the next man to get underway, but I understand that the chances of playing it under inconsistent conditions is not going to happen, regardless of how impatient people become.

I’m not missing the point I know what Q school is, I’m not a dummy., my post still applies if you don’t want to chance it wait till the Saturday, everyone has the choice during the week when to play leave it till the Saturday and you are not disadvantaged in any way

Anybody can misread the situation or be poorly informed... My view is not about me, or my performance, or how changes could affect my Tour status. I'll happily compete under any conditions. Admin will not kick off the event when we can't be guaranteed to play on the same settings. It's that simple. For every you, or I that wouldn't give a sh%$, there will be 5 other folk who would moan like b%&es if they missed out on a certain tour or had others perceived to be better than them in tours below them. Believe what you want to, and your opinion is yours to do with what you want, but the facts are pretty much what I've stated. I'd love to be proved wrong, as I really want to get on and play, but it is what it is.

Think all they need to hit go is an assurance that the changes are live and won't be pulled completely mid event.
Minor tweaks will probably happen, and some people will insist they are still playing a different game to everyone else even when they aren't. But that is a weekly occurrence anyway

Should start this Sunday, whatever patch/update they do or when, it’s the same for everyone I second this... if we wait till they don’t mess with it for a 2 week span then we might be waiting for a few months honestly , the changes won’t drastically change scores from what I’ve seen people post and my own experiences the scoring was about the same once you got use to it, no major advantages or disadvantages it was surprisingly very balanced

No real point practicing when the game changes each time you log in. Will keep an eye out for Q-School, but this game has dropped to about 4th in line with some recent releases.
