Club requirements - Pro Tours must use Master Clubs at all times Club requirements - Challenge Circuit no restrictions - but only Master Club users can earn Promotion Marks in CC-A
I'll never be good enough to worry about the pro tours, but I think this is wrong. The IRL golf tours are made up of all types of players - ie, long/shot hitters; accurate hitters and not so accurate hitters. From Dustin Johnson to Zach Johnson.

The IRL golf tours are made up of all types of players - ie, long/shot hitters; accurate hitters and not so accurate hitters. From Dustin Johnson to Zach Johnson. We've been down this road many times last year, but it's important to remember that video game golf is not always analogous to golf IRL, as there are some things that simply do not have a 1-to-1 correlation. In TGC2019, the club sets are difficulty levels, and although people will argue that, it's hard not to see that being the case. Since we offer (now) 8 opportunities for members to play on a competitive tour even if they decide not to use Masters clubs, there is no reason we can't set the Pro tours at a difficulty level appropriate for that distinction. Thus, Web, Euro, and PGA Tours will all use Masters clubs, since those tours are intended to host events for the players in the game achieving the highest levels of video game golf.

Simple question. Someone doesn't want to use Master clubs so they never get to move up past CC-A. Can they stay there all day all night using pro clubs as long as they want? Also can someone use beginner clubs all the way up to CC-A?

I would like to see in the Challenge Circuit for E, F, G & Z that no one can use Master clubs as this would really balance them and make them more competitive. With the way the courses are designed that we play it would really level the playing field for those of us who would like to have a chance every week to maybe finish higher than usual.

I think the rules are fair for all and glad that I will still be able to compete with clubs of my choice until I can master the master clubs. Good Work Doyley and the crew.

Played the PGA Exhibition event with Master Clubs. -3, -4, -5, -5. It isn't -14 shooting but it is slow but at least some progress. Played another tournament after this and shot +14 with the same clubs.
So are the WGR going to be reset? Will they matter in Season 5 in the sense of getting into Majors or is it just a meaningless marker? Will previous season achievements like winning a major or finishing in the top 30 mean anything for Majors/WGC events or is it all going to be what you have done and where you are at this season?
I ask because if that is the case, might as well reset the WGR for everyone because it is based off a completely different game.

I like the changes and willingness to adapt here at TGCT. Everyone to Q-school makes a lot of sense and I wish that had happened for TGC2 (but understand why it didn't). Personally, was hoping the Masters clubs were only on PGA tour. I can't hit the ocean with them from the beach, so slow and painful fall from top 100 WGR is coming. I don't want to lose interest, but it is difficult to really suck at something and continue to persevere, especially if there was any form of success with the previous games. Maybe something will 'click' for me, but I am not hopeful after weeks with the game already. I finally decided a few days ago to just not use Master clubs any more and did decent in the latest exhibition. Not sure if I'm hoping to be top 450 or would rather just go to the C-level group from the start. As long as you find a level that you're competing at, surely you're gold? WGR is the last thing that bothers me, personally. Good changes all round I think Doyley Once people are settled I'm sure it'll provide a competitive environment.

I'm happy with all the rule adjustments, and Q-school.
My question is related to Q-School: Will all current members of season 4 have to register for Q-School, or just jump in the Special Event Society and play once the date is confirmed?

Excited to get started and going through Q-School again. Given the club mandate I will likely break my record of +36 that I registered several years ago. Since I have not grasped the tempo of the Master set I am not so fond of the mandated clubs decision cutting as deep as it is now but it is what it is. Hopefully there will be enough folks using the upper set to fill all 3 Pro Tours.

Will the green speed (feet) be the same for all four rounds? I thought I noticed it change, (maybe a senior moment.) Tournament admins have 6 choices for each round, so there will be differences in conditions throughout the event. That's more interesting. Thanks Patrick.

WGR is only a measure of the progress over time during a 'career' here at TGCT. I don't view it as anything more than that. My point is that I used to compete at one level, the game changed, and now I'll be at a new level. That's fine. Just don't want the game to be frustrating along the way to the point I don't care to compete at all. At this time, Masters clubs would make me frustrated enough to consider it.
