This reset is a really good idea...now...will I be on shooting -10 and better or will I be off and shooting -4 to -6...hope it's the first one...but in the end, I guess I can always earn my way to the PGA. I've never cared what I'm in, it's just fun to play with everyone

I think it's a great system and really like the mass Q school system. I don't have any illusions of being a good player on this game so I will be really glad to land in a field of similarly mediocre players that we can have some good old fashioned banter back and forth Will have to say goodbye to some of my old rivals who have progressed much faster than me, Tenahka lol. But here's to new friends and rivals I haven't met yet!

The changes sound good. I'm excited about having to go through Q-school again. Having the wind meter turned off for the pro tours is going to be a new challenge for me (whenever I make it to that level).
I'm curious how much thought was put into the 5 marks needed to promote/demote. I think I would have advocated for 3 or 4. I'm not sure there were any times last season when I would have been able to get a promotion using these new rules (I advanced from CC-C up to Euro). I guess that puts more pressure on getting a good score in Q-School and playing consistently well from week to week. I guess if the goal is to stay in the same tour for longer, this goal should be accomplished.
Thanks for the great site and all the effort the TGC Tours team puts in!

With tempo being more important than having a straight "in the cone" swing in TGC2019, how and what will API data track to determine "fair play" once the season starts?
Can of worms = Open

Last Week - TGCT Society Events - clubset usage
Pro Societies Beginner 13.18% Pro 26.60% Master 60.22%
CC-Pro/Am Beginner 16.04% Pro 50.79% Master 33.17%
Just to give you an idea - overall about 50% used Master clubs last week - so if we get 1500+ doing Q-School there should be plenty to pick from for the top 450. Would expect that Master % to rise too with the new clubset rules announced.

I'm really torn. I can shoot competitively on Pro clubs about 70% of the time I would say. No where near that mark with Masters. I'm not even at 80% of my swing being P/P tempo on Pro clubs and am at about 30-40% on Masters. So the two options are to play with Pro clubs and be relegated to CC tour until I feel I can get the tempo down enough to compete and work my way up (which is something I never actually ever really had to do beyond one tour) and might be fun. Or other option is take my chances with the masters clubs and potentially be in a tour way above my skill level. I want to play and have fun but I also want to be able to compete. I've played two TGCt tours and was +24 on one and -17 on the other so I would say my skill set lies somewhere in between as I struggle to play under par with Master clubs. I have no idea what tour an EVEN par average would put me, PGA, Euro, Web? Basically I think it is better to work your way up through the tours as your skills progress and with the new promotions being slower, we won't see quick promotions for getting in the top 10 or winning an event. That being said, I do believe that the admin should have the ability that if someone wins a CC tournament by 20 strokes, a promotion may be in order for balance. Basically a field promotion. All things considering I think I can count the number of rounds played on Masters with two hands.

I don't know if I want to do Q-school or not. I am a pretty average player and my average scores are about -4 to -6 with the occasional good round. It's scary because I can't get any better.
On the other hand I want to get back to playing regularly like I did when the tours first started.
I love the changes they have made too.
Note: I use Master Clubs.

Interesting changes, obviously a lot of work behind the scenes to pull all of this together. Can't wait to get started on season 5.
Now HB drop that patch so we can get onto Q school (I hope that the TGC2019 tempo gods and my swing behave).

Lets hope Slim Pat comes back so he can dominate DoubtfulObelisk again, he can look up at him from Irving's basement.
