Season 5 on TGC 2019
TGC Tours has moved to The Golf Club 2019 featuring PGA TOUR
Q-School for all TGCT Members
Due to the removal of the World Tour, the addition of two new Challenge Circuit flights, 300+ new members, as well as the change in how we do promotions/demotions (much slower) there is a need for the tours to be as balanced as possible right out of the gate.
The cleanest way to do this while treating all TGCT members equally is to have a full Q-School prior to Season 5.
Q-School Details
- Two 4-round events
- 2 weeks long (1 event per week)
- 8 rounds of scores will be combined
- Sorting will then take place with 150 slots per tour/flight (tiebreakers in effect)
- If you do not complete all 8-rounds you will not earn a tour card and will have to register for one of the weekly Q-Schools once Season 5 begins
- Will be run out of the TGCTours (Special Events) society
- Start date to be announced shortly after patch drops (and we can ensure society bugs are fixed)
- Master Clubs required (all 8 rounds) to earn a Pro Tour card
- Pro/Beginner clubsets can qualify as high as CC-A
- All TGCT members will be entered/registered automatically
- Courses will be announced 1 week prior to the start date.
World Tour Removed
The World Tour will be removed

Quarterly Promotion Events
- These will be used to top up tours every 3 months
- Entry requirements will be announced prior to the event
- Slots available will be announced prior to the event
- Users can fast track up the tours with good play during these events - you can jump more than 1 flight/tour
- Participation is optional for those who meet the qualifications
- Will be a special event, meaning you can play on your home tour and in this event in the same week
- First Promotion Event is tentatively scheduled for the 5th week of Season 5
Each tour will be monitored for active users - our goal will be to have 140 active users in each tour per week. The average field size in the 4 weeks leading up to a Promotional Event will dictate whether that tour will be topped up. If the average field size is below 140 we'll add those slots to the Promotional Event.
There will be a trickle down effect as people promote up from various tours/flights - we'll do our best to ensure that following a Promotion Event each tour/flight will have at least 140 active users.
Additional Challenge Circuit Flights
- Add CC-F and CC-G flights to CC-Am
- CC-D moves up to CC-Pro
Clubset Restrictions
- Pro Tours (PGA, European, Web.com) are Master Clubs only
- Anyone registered on a Pro Tour and playing with Pro/Beginner clubs will be removed from the leaderboard and given a Did Not Play
- Challenge Circuit has no restrictions
Note:
* no CC-A promotion marks given unless Master Clubs used for entire event
* CC-A promotion marks given to top 10 master club users
* Highest Tour/Flight you can land on out of Q-School with Pro/Beginner clubs is CC-A
Wind Meter Settings
- Pro Tours - Wind Meter will be Off (see pic above). You can still see wind direction and general strength depicted by how much the circle is filled white. No exact wind speed given
- Challenge Circuit - Wind Meter will be On. Exact wind speed will be shown.
