Not really into course play yet, sticking with TGC2 and the practice range on 2019 after woeful with my 'standard' mouse, so got a Roccat Kova, which allows infinite adjustment to dpi, and kindly informs you verbally each change you make in game. Experimented with dpi from 550 to 3,500. For me, personally, best results have been between 650 and 850, presently set at 750 dpi with in game mouse swing sensitivity at maximum. Obviously, like in real golf, no two swings are the same (I'm starter at the weekends at our course, so 1 see about 500 swings a week, and can vouch for this, lol).

How is everyone doing with the mouse? I found something that works for the swing, and i am sticking with it. After a few weeks of practice, for me its not that hard anymore.

Still struggling mightily on masters, playable with pro but nowhere near where I was with tour clubs in TGC2. But I will do my best.

Just throwing this out there, please let me know if there is any interest:
I wonder if there is any way that the API (whatever that is) could track and report the scoring and performance of mouse swingers? Personally I would appreciate seeing how I measure up against folks who are using the same method as I do.
Not trying to be exclusionary; the beauty of TGCT is seeing the competition across the platforms. But I would still like to see how my scores stack up against other mouse swingers NOT PC players who use a controller (that is just a PS/XB player using a computer vs a console IMO).

I may have found the golden goose....I bought an ergonomic vertical mouse. Some examples hereFirst thing is it fits my big hands (a normal mouse does not come close) Second, I can hit P-P 80% or better with Pro club set and am getting better with the Master club set. Third, holding the mouse feels a lot more comfortable to my wrist and when moving the mouse, it feels "better" and I can keep it in the cone a lot easier. Lastly, the DPI can be adjusted but I find the recommended settings from HB_Keith to work just fine. My biggest problem with the Master clubs is my backswing. I hit Perfect at the top of the meter almost every time but I hit Slow on the bottom of the meter almost all the time.

This is not what I was hoping to find when I saw a thread about mouse swingers.

The juxtaposition between the thread title & its content has been a constant source of disappointment to me too Irving R. Levine

Hey Mouse users. Still having issues? Come over to this thread on HB's forums where we are trying to advocate for a couple changes. Craig from HB wants to see what we really think of the swing. www.hb-studios.com/forum/index.php/topic,25772.0.html

Hey, just wanted to throw in my 2 cents:
I haven't spent that much time with 2019 yet, but I am experiencing the same issues. I've set mouse sensitivity to 91, since my (short) swing movement is not recognized consistently on lower settings. Although I certainly need more practice sessions, I currently perform the best with the fast-backward-then-wait-then-fast-forward-method. Still struggling to shoot par though. And yes, my approaches tend to come up short on most occasions.

My settings are different from you (tried the vert mouse recommended by cliffs but for now have gone back to my razer until I have time to practice) and just last night I was able to hit consistent but unspectacular shots. Mouse sensitivity is set at 35 and I can hit p/p 95% but I still have plenty of s/p 100% if I concentrate. There is also the amped up 85% shot that frustrates me, but I think that is what is attractive about 2K19 over TGC2.

Growing frustrated by inconsistency with the mouse, I decided to drop down to the Pro set.
What a HUGE difference between club sets. I can hit nearly all my shots perfect-perfect and in the plane. Not a cheating stroke as the plane is still "wide' but wow, just wow, how much easier it is playing with Pro set.
Now I can design for a while, jump on a course, play a quick 18 and not be so frustrated I want to just quit all together.
I know I have said that hitting perfect-perfect all the time is boring (and it is) except I have to learn the other nuances of wind, lie, lofting, etc.
I still play with the master set of clubs but to save my sanity....pro set is a nice change of pace.

Is this all with that funky vertical mouse?
