I use 800dpi and default (50) sensitivity. This is my method: Start cursor at top of screen, do quick line downwards. Wait a little bit for animation to catch up and then move mouse straight back up again (quick). I'll do a stream in about an hour or so perhaps to show. I guess that is a variation of the same thing (ensuring a straighter line thorugh the swing plane cone). I tried to increase my sensitivity to 50 like you, while still keeping the cursor at the bottom, and it was even easier. Thanks Another thing is that if I notice that the cursor moved, I still have time to abort the swing. Good tip about waiting for the animation to catch up, it seems to result on more P/P and 100% power

I received this from HB_Keith. Not sure if it is on the HB forums as I got the ban stick for disagreeing with the PG boys.
The mouse input has received a much needed update for this iteration of TGC, so it will definitely feel different for those of you who used the mouse swing in prior versions of TGC. In years past you were able to pause your backswing at any point before transitioning to your downswing. This basically nullified the tempo aspect of our tempo swing system for mouse. It was discovered this time around and the solution was to prevent this from happening, making the mouse perform more akin to the swing stick on a controller.
Now, if you find yourself starting to backswing as soon as you click your mouse, that means there is some downwards movement on the mouse. Those of you playing with a DPI >1000 are likely going to experience this more so than those playing around the DPI level that the mouse input was tuned for. (1000)
There's a couple suggestions here to really let you fine tune how your swing input feels and reduce any accidental swing input: Lower the mouse sensitivity in-game (Settings>Controls>Mouse Swing Sensitivity) Lower your mouse DPI through your OS or any 3rd party software that may have been included with a gaming mouse, such as Logitech, Razer, etc)
Hopefully this information helps you out.

I thought I had nailed it with the master clubs, but I lost it really fast. So I still suck big time with a mouse. I need HELP! Whats the secret?

Just bought a Rocatt Kova mouse, as I wasn't getting anywhere with a standard dpi one (even though is was a half decent one). DPI is fully adjustable on this, and SLOWLY getting somewhere. Obviously, different settings will suit different people, but I (think) having adjustable dpi is the way to go.

So I tried my first rounds on 2K19. Sawgrass shot 89. From the RED TEES!!!!!! So I figured it just might be the course, so I found St Andrews by theclv24. 96 from the tips, so keeping it under 100 was nice. Sigh. I did get much better FPS (30-40 on ST Andrews vs 20s on Sawgrass), but this is going to take either a LOT of time and practice or a patch for mouse swingers. All the P/P swings (which were few and far between) had no power. Good lord, this is harddddddd.

Oh, and putting is so much harder as far as distance control. The vacuum hole is gone, no more side door entries. I guess that is better, but I made quite a few that way...

Another thing to try...lower your mouse speed in your computer settings.
I am having better consistency doing that.

Am I the only mouse swinger that finds all my irons go at least one club shorter than advertised? Even on my best swings, with roll out, a 156 club goes 145ish. Frustrating.

What kind of mouse pad do you use? I currently use a softer cloth pad, but I will buy a hard gaming mouse pad today to see if my swing direction and tempo will be more consistent with that.

I bought a hard gaming mouse pad today, which has alot more friction than the soft one. That really helped me too shoot a bit straighter, and keep the mouse more in position with the swing direction. With my soft cloth pad, i couldnt stay in the cone, and fluctuated sideways in every swing. As for the tempo, I still suck, but i guess it will come with some more practice.

I guess it is a softer pad, a nice large one. I'll try a hard surface later to see if it makes a difference. Never gave the pad much thought, thanks!

Hit the range with pad and desk (very smooth surface). Found no difference.
Reminds me tho of the fact when I do find p/p swings the power is anywhere between 85-95 %, which is super annoying.
Also annoying when I want to hit a flop and the option isn't there on random occasions. To quote Seinfeld, what's up with that?!?!

My new hard mouse pad didnt work for me either, shooting straighter with it was just some positive illusion. So now I decided to just stop whining, use my old soft mouse pad, choose some default settings for mouse + sensitivity and just keep playing. And the only thing that seem to work for me is the same thing others have mentioned:
- Short back swing (1-2 inches), - wait for the animation (club to reach top) - Then push forward with the downswing with a little bit more speed than for the backswing. This is the only remedy i found to overcome having P/P shots with 95% power.
I now start the back swing with the mouse cursor at the top of the screen, and never hit the bottom, which I just assume eliminates the sideways motions that you get when the cursor hits the bottom I also started doing practice swings for each shot (not in G mode) but just swinging back and aborting, while watching the mouse cursor.
At best, Ive been able to shoot a round of -9 so far. The round after it I shot +3.
