Aluminium Cup Series - Final Four (Quincy Downs) #1 Brian Ayers vs #4 Johan Ahlmark Brian Ayers (Theopen) Round 1 (White #3) score: -12 Round 2 (White #4) score: -12 Total: -24 That was a thoroughly unpleasant experience - mostly due to the anxiety/stress of it. The only thing that saved me - since my swing line and putting were not quite up to par - were a few chip-ins (one that was pure luck) and hitting the flagstick a couple times (stopping the ball within a couple of feet and avoiding the overly abundant red slopes). If not for those, I wouldn't have even come close in the second round. So, kudos to hojen for being able to even get one eagle - let alone THREE! It feels like a hollow victory given the sloppiness of my play. I mean, sure, I'll take it but, I just don't feel I earned it! Good match, Johan! videos here

Very niced played Brian, keeping it together and not loosing focus at any point. I could not have done better, so I take my hat off and wish you the best of luck in the final. An extra huge thanks to moneyman for another excellent season.

If a hat was on my head, I would tip it to you three gents! Awesome shooting on that track with vf greens, vf fairways, and medium wind, two thumbs up to GibAyersHoj. That's why you are all professionals and I a lowly trained amateur. Good luck in the finals Gibby and Brian, I will be watching in anticipation
PS I need to get my paint.net up to date, oops did I say that outloud.

ACS Final Four Final Scores Alert:
#1 Brian Ayers defeated #4 Johan Ahlmark -24 to -22
Imagine being nervous, anxious and having an unpleasant experience yet still shooting a -24 in two rounds? Say it ain't so, Brian? Theopen . Sarcasm aside, you nailed it again and played just a smidge better than Johan hojen , who had two bogeys (one per round) occurring at the most inopportune times. Johan, your score will probably win 8 or 9 out of 10 playoff matches, but not against Numero Uno. Thank you again for being part of 24K and I sincerely hope you'll stay with us as we transition to the new game in August.
#3 CF Gibson defeated #2 Donald Tagariello -24 to -19
Playoff upset? That would only be answered by a flip of the coin. I'm more surprised at the sheer domination by CF CGib2 than him winning, which was absolutely possible. I'm also a little surprised at the mere mortal submission of Donald TAGROCKET who played better than what MOST players would in the playoffs, but not against this monster of a player. You were (as the saying goes) "close, but no cigar" in both ACS and the team tournament, making it to the Final Four. Be proud of that as you're one of the best players out there.

Aluminium Cup Series- Championship Final
#1 Brian Ayers vs #3 CF Gibson
Venue: Conservatory West (Major) csugolfer60
Must play rounds in this order:
Round 1: Blue Tees + Pin 1 (Wind speed set to high; wind direction set to north; all other settings to default)
Round 2: Blue Tees + Pin 4 (Wind speed set to medium; wind direction set to northwest; green speed set to very fast; green firmness set to firm; terrain firmness set to very firm; all other settings to default)
PRACTICE ROUNDS ARE PERMITTED ON BLUE TEES (Please use pins 2 or 3 if practicing) This is not "live" play, match play, etc. This is stroke play, lowest two round score moves on. (Results ending in a tie will be scheduled a one round tiebreaker). Please continue to post scores and screenshots the same as you have all season long; indicate ACS Championship Final and opponent! Deadline: Wednesday, 7/1/20 (11PM Eastern Standard Time, EST)
Here's the completed thread link. Love you both but this 7850 yard test is purely a kick in the groin regarding difficulty level. Play CLEAN, bogey free golf and take a few chances at the right moments and I believe the person who does that will be crowned ACS Champion.

Good luck Gentlemen. May the best ACS player win this.

Oh my......just did a practice round on pin 2, and managed to get to 2 under, and it was a struggle. Gotta think that 5 or 6 under is the best i can do on this course. Gonna be a real tough grind to finish the 24K season. Cheers to you, and good luck as well. Hope to get my rounds in on Sunday....as I’ve got a busy week ahead.

Aluminium Cup Series- Championship FinalCF Gibson vs Brian Ayers Round 1 (-3) Round 2 (-5) Total (-8) theopen Brian, good luck....this course took my breath away...PS, don't miss the fairways (brutal) First of all, what a stunning course to finish the 24K season. This was a tough but fair layout, with tucked pins, tight fairways, and at 7,800 yards long, left a lot of long second shots into the green. My stats were: GIR - 66.67%; Fairways hit - 86%; Proximity to the hole: 44.5ft. Tough to get close to the pin, and those long putts were all breaking 5-10 feet. Moneyman, thanks for another fun, enjoyable season, and looking forward to Season 7.

Aluminium Cup Series - Championship Final (Conservatory West) #1 Brian Ayers vs #3 CF Gibson Brian Ayers (Theopen) Round 1 (Blue #1) score: -5 Round 2 (Blue #4) score: -3 Total: -8 Sorry for the delay, I wanted to make sure the videos were uploaded before posting the summary. Well ... this is a pickle I honestly had no expectations whatsoever of doing well. I shot 3 practice rounds (Pin 3) and couldn't break -2. I think that actually helped me ... I didn't take the aggressive route (which is my normal play style) and tried to just shoot par - perhaps get lucky on some of the par 5's. It paid off ... at least a little ... could have been better, but could have been a lot worse, too. Then came the second round ... ugh. I shot well (give or take), but got robbed on a few (lip-outs, etc.) ... and all I had to do was hold on and par the 18th. Wow, did I bungle that one ... two disastrous chip-shots left me with a 37 ft. uphill (yellow slope) for bogey ... and it dropped! I'm not sure how that balances out the fact that I still blew it on the last hole, but somehow making that putt eases the pain a bit So, I can still thank CGib2 for a great match and moneyman273 for another great season ... but I guess there's still more work left to do!

Aluminium Cup Series Championship Final Tie Score Alert:#1 Brian Ayers tied #3 CF Gibson -8 to -8A one round playoff will commence. If tied after the playoff round, count-back from hole 18 will determine the Champion.First things first: CGib2 Theopen Thanks to you both for indicating that the course was a beast but played fair. Again, I take tremendous pride in scheduling courses that are tough at times for most players. You both are the exception and seem to excel on EVERY course, but this one. That being said, I smile at giving you both a tremendously frustrating yet rewarding test. So, bonus golf we have that will conclude season 6. PLAYOFF TIEBREAKER:
