An epic season like this (yea, I'm biased, so what, wanna fight about it?!) wouldn't be complete without some extra golf in the ACS Final!! Nice job gents! I love the fact that I stumped these two buggers and neither of them whined about it. True professionals and respectful of the tournament. Doesn't go unnoticed by me.

Aluminium Cup Series - Championship Final - Playoff Round (Conservatory West) #1 Brian Ayers vs #3 CF Gibson Brian Ayers (Theopen) Round 1 (Blue #2) score: -6 Total: -6 Well ... I think I did OK ... made some really impressive shots ... sadly, most of those were just to save par I'm not even that concerned about losing ... I'm just glad we won't have to play this course again CGib2 Good luck once more ... and I hope you survived your round - at least relatively unscathed! ps. damn game gave me high-level winds (11-14mph) once again on the "medium" setting

Aluminium Cup Series - Championship Final #3 CF Gibson vs #1 Brian Ayers Overtime playoff - (-4) Theopen Tried to post earlier, but, my internet has been down all morning. Brian, you did GOOD ....congratulations to the Season 6, 24K ACS Champion. Can honestly say that I'm glad this is over...was hoping that you would either shoot a -3 or -5, because at -4, I fear that we would have to do this again. Tried to play conservatively and bogey free, but, I couldn't make any putts and couldn't get close to the pins. Had to scramble out of the rough on #6, and couldn't make a 12 footer for par. This is a tough, tough course.

Aluminium Cup Series- Championship Final Score Alert:
#1 Brian Ayers defeated #3 CF Gibson -6 to -4 in a tie breaker round (tied -8 to -8 previously in the Championship Final)
And there you have it. My apologies for the late update but wanted to give recognition where it was due. As much as I had originally thought that say, any of the top 5 or 6 players could've had a chance at winning the ACS, in reality it was Brian Theopen, Don TAGROCKET and CF CGib2 with the best chances of being champion.
Both of the finalists fought through not two, but three rounds of this fantastic but ultra challenging course. You did so with grace and dignity. Congratulations to you Brian and as always, I've appreciated having you here in 24K.
CF CGib2 is one of the 24K originals. I'd have to go back and see exactly how many players have stuck with this tournament from season 1 through season 6 but I'd say it may be at least 15-20 people. No one has done it with more class and professionalism than this guy. Thank you for being one of the role models for everything I ask out of the players.
Round of applause or a like to our season 6, ACS Champion, Brian Ayers.

Thoughts to conclude season 6:

Hey all. Hope you're doing well! Welcome to the "off season"! A few thoughts as we conclude the run of TGC 2019 and transition to PGA 2K21. I welcome ANY OF YOU to discuss your thoughts and ideas in this thread. That being said, there will be no toleration for comments not related to this tournament or complaints about other players or how I've run the tournament previously. Bottom line? Respect others and their ideas if you choose to comment!
1) I did think of maybe running some "exhibition" events up and until the release of the new game. This isn't going to happen. Vacations are probably occurring for some (including myself) and I think now will be a good time to update you all on some ideas.
2) Barring any unforeseen circumstances, I fully intend to run a season 7 on the new game and have (hopefully) MANY new participants. It was a struggle for me to keep at the 36 players for season 6.
3) There WILL be a recruitment thread posted after release of the game (you'll all be informed) and will require information that may ask for any updated information we'd need based on the new game. (Tagging you all wasn't a "you playing season 7 or not" tag. It's just to keep you all informed as to changes in the event you wish to play season 7).
3) 24K will be MUCH more interactive regarding statistics (schedule, win/loss record, individual scores, toughest course based on scores submitted, etc). I owe ALL of this effort to my good friend Paul thetaffman who, when compared to me, is a technical genius when it comes to spreadsheets. Season 7 WILL HAVE A SPREADSHEET with a ton of amazing information and stats because, who doesn't like stats? Does it mean that screenshots are still required? Does it mean that this tournament will still be offline and non-society? I'm not sure yet. Paul, I welcome you to post in the thread information on your spreadsheet and what we have discussed, because the statistics make me very excited to continue this team tournament and individual knockout tournament!
4) What will the new game bring? This is the unknown. Here's a few of my concerns: I've always pushed the "honor code" in 24K. I believe in my heart that this has been followed very well (maybe some little white lies thrown in!) but I have concerns that 2K21 will have so MANY options that the "honor code" may suffer more chinks in the armor. So, does this mean I make this society based? How many societies are players able to have (just one per TGC2019?) or more? Who will be my trusted people that are ready and willing to do this on each platform? One of the things that is great about non-Society is the flexibility I can give to people who may need an "extension" of time on my score deadline. No extensions allowed in societies. Furthermore, and I'm going on assumption here, each platform administrator has the ability to "lock" certain settings in. I'm just not sure how this will work out at this time to be honest.
So, lets keep in touch and chat, shall we? Your ideas and thoughts are more than welcome for all of us to hear.

I have been talking with moneyman273 about the upcoming season. Before I go further, thank you Jason for running 24k. Running a society is a ton of work and not always easy and can be a thankless job. So thank you! So, to show my appreciation I am donating a prize next season to the winning team. I make pens and you can click on the link below to see some examples of pens I make. I will come up with matching pens for each member of the winning team. Battle Born Pens
I know that the Aluminum Cup highlights the best individual players and there are some great players in this society but not all that play in this society can compete at that level but we ALL can compete in the team event and this will give everyone, no matter what level they are a shot at winning. Hope this will spark your interest, good luck everyone! Example of a prize....

CGib2 Thank you for the kind words, I do appreciate it! moneyman273 As always, thanks for setting this all up for us to enjoy (and occasionally lament) and being so vigilant about updates/highlights/information! My day job is a web developer - been at it for 20 years, give or take ... was going to offer my services if you had any need of a web-based interface for inputting all that data (could also include screenshot uploads, etc.) ... and, I'm still happy to do so, if you have any ideas on what you'd like to have ... or, at the very least, I can convert that fancy new spreadsheet into a web format with a user-friendly menu, etc. Regardless, just drop me a line and/or throw me some ideas if you'd like to explore it as an option for next season! Cheers all!

How many societies are players able to have (just one per TGC2019?) or more? Jason, to answer this question I refer to our (now gone) "Designed by Dirtbags" Society, started and run by SkyBlueBen . As I understood it you can have one society on each platform you have a copy of the game for. I think Ben had copies for PC and XBox, and somebody else set up a Society on PS4. Ben collated all three leaderboards into one.

That's right Mike except I have the game on all 3 platforms so I set up a Society in each and dragged the scores together into a cross platform leaderboard. Who knows what 2K21 will bring, we know not cross platform play but how good would cross platform societies be?!! Can only dream....

We share the same course database across the 3 platforms yet can't play against someone on another platform. One day it will come, just not yet!! At least if you had a cross platform society you could keep everything in one place, the biggest drag in DbD is having to fire up 3 systems just to pick up the scores!!
