It's looking really nice man, I like the changes on #5. I'd suggest, and this is only a personal preference, removing the autogenerated rocks, to my eye they look absolutely unnatural, and I prefer to place them manually. But I insist, that's only my preference posted some progress pics. As always, feedback is greatly appreciated.

Looking really good, man. Are you planning to reshape the #10 bunkers or green? The green and bunkers both look a little blocky compared to the other greens and bunkers, which are really nicely shaped. Also, the bunkers on #3 look a little cookie cutter-ish. Maybe you've since reshaped them, but I am not sure. I am really liking your fairway shapes though.

I have reshaped the green and the bunkers are out for now...thinking maybe, not needed?? 15 is starting to look like a golf hole now:

Since the water is so close to the right hand side, you may not want any bunkers on the left, or maybe just a small one. Or a tree? Or leave it as is. I think it looks great.

I got the itch to work on Autumn Hills again and would love to get some feedback. I started to rework much of the front nine based off off the feedback I received from (Eric) VctryLnSprts during his palythrough awhile back. I would also like to thank pablo, as he also gave some good pointers as well. A few others have given some good feedback as well, so thank you all too. PithyDoctorG, @griff, and mfreeman775 I appreciate all you have providing during this thread. Anyway...here are some shots of holes 1-5. Most of the greens have been redone (no stocks!!, except for #2...I like that green as is) And most of the bunkers have been revised as well. I will still have to do the final scuplting on the entire course, But hopefully I can stay motivated on this to finish it up soon. Hole #1: Hole #2 from the Tee: The Green Area. I added grasses behind the bunkers and redid 2 of the three and resculpted: Number 3 Has new bunkers along the right side of the fairway and a new green: I redid #4 Green and redid the fairway bunkers: And finally...I thought alot about the feedback on #5 (The huge fairway with the bunker splitting the middle) and redid the entire hole: I am happy with the outcome so far.

Sounds like you're really taking your time to get things right, which is great. In my opinion, the sculpting around the left fairway bunkers on hole 3 could use some refinement. It looks a bit too extremely banked. You might consider raising the fairway in front of them a bit or maybe lower the land behind them just a couple feet. It doesn't look that far off, though.
Also on hole 3, think about taking out the trees to the right of the second shot landing area and expanding the water up to the edge of the fairway/green to enhance the challenge for the second shot. I also might take out the tree on the left just before the water (past the bunkers). Hard to tell from the pictures, but it looks like it blocks you if you hit in the bunkers. This is just a personal preference, but I would try and sucker the player who hits it in the bunker into trying to carry the water. If they're blocked by the tree they'll just automatically pitch out and don't have a chance to recover/get into even deeper trouble. If you're going for a penal type of design then perhaps you want to keep a feature like that.

I'm glad you mentioned the left bunkers on 3...that actually has been on my mind as to whether those looked over done. I will probably lower the banking. The tree before the water doesn't really interfere with play from the fairway, but at least gets in your head a touch. Never thought about the trees up in the second shot landing. I'll give that a look, although that creek runs through a good bit of the course. I'll look at rerouting ( I like your idea) and see if it will work. 😁

It's hard to tell from just viewing a few pics, but I feel the course a bit isolated. I mean, more than a course it seems to be 18 holes laid in the same plot. It's difficult to explain, but I miss some kind of connection between the holes (from the pics, maybe playing the course the experience is different). The course looks good to my eyes anyway, you see to have something interesting going on here

Some of the holes are a bit isolated from the others. When playing the course there is a bit more visual of other holes from the one you are playing (hope that makes sense). I am now starting to think I should maybe publish a Beta version of the course to have some actual player feedback. I will work on having that up sometime next week. I would like to at least finish some of the bigger adjustments to the course first. Then I can make additional from the player feedback. Thank you again... I appreciate your feedback.

Hey Kvand,
your course looks very nice, I'm no great designer by any stretch of the imagination but did you take the routing from a course or did you lay the routing out yourself? also try splining can be tricky but i find your get better curves and bends. bit late for this course but i find the designer with each design i implement something i learned on a previous design but was to late to implement if that makes sense. Looking good though dude.......

Well, I've reached the point of frustration with this course for some reason. This one will be shelved for foreseeable future.
I appreciate everyone's feedback and positive comments on this.

If the source of frustration is something technical and non-creative maybe one of the experienced guys can help. Sometimes it can help to step away from a project for a while. At the same time, don't try and be a perfectionist about it--nobody's first publish will be perfect (or second, or third...). From what I've seen and how eager you are to incorporate feedback I think this is shaping up to be a fantastic first publish (my understanding is you haven't published anything else). The important thing is to keep some forward momentum going, whether it's on this or some side project.

Well, I've reached the point of frustration with this course for some reason. This one will be shelved for foreseeable future. I appreciate everyone's feedback and positive comments on this. I know the reason of that frustration. You're trying to "please" all of the people that have given you feedback, trying to build the course each of us envision, or the course you think each one of us envision through the feedback we've given you. And no, none of that feedback is an absolute truth (well, mine is, of course), just try to take the essence that is hiding behind it and give it your own shape. That's your mistake, take that feedback as an orientation, but build your own course pal. It will have good things, bad things and controversial things. All courses do, yours will be no exception. Build your own course, and most important of all, feel the course you're building P.S.: That gif has nothing to do with my message, but I like it
