Wow, son gual just KILLED me. Played pretty decent until then, mostly around par, with a +4 on the major. And then son gual came, with 14 mph of wind the whole round, and my putting COMPLETELY off all of a sudden, I scored +25. Worst round I ever played in this game. Last 5 holes I was just hacking around wanting it to end... Continued to Harbor Island after that, standing on the first tee: 23 mph of wind. No thanks, I stopped right there. The wind is terrible... why play in that wind wait for lighter winds if you can if that 14 mph was blowing in your face you lost 14 or more yards.
if its blowing left or right forget it why waste strokes

US Opens are always the best. I love when a black number wins the tournament..

So you have given yourself a problem before you start as you've got a negative mindset. I used to be the same with winds, but I made a point to learn how to cope with the winds and now I don't mind playing in any winds. Oh yes and practice, practice and more practice.

Well, it is called "practice tour" for a reason. I wanted to see and get to know the courses. And I don't mind 14 mph too much normally, but on that day it just all came together to screw up my day. But of course I wouldn't play an official round in winds like that if I have the choice...

im hoping they (hb) gets this wind thing under control before this tour starts.
give the tour creator the control over the winds for the particular tourny or tour.
i liked how i could set up tours/tournys in TWO, i could set the wind/tee box/speeds for each round if i remember correctly.

Agreed, that would be ideal - I've been pushing for setting winds and pins per round since we hatched this idea. Fingers crossed!

77 on Son Gual Desert. I see that as a win for me thanks to 2-3 MPH wind. If I putted better maybe par. With some of the slope on top of the pin I missed some short putts.

I've played Mount Yeti 3 times in the past few days and 14 and 15 are my trouble holes..bogey or double bogey both holes all three times. If I could just get par on those.
