what controller thrangar? I used to be a mouse player, but ran into that cant get 100% problem, so I switched to a wireless 360 controller and it has worked perfect through 3/4 patches
What I like about it is that I always/always get 100% when I choose it,but what I really like is I can get from 51% to 99% if I go for that.
Now with new patch the only draw back and its a manufacture thing, is I go through a set of batteries(you can use rechargeable) every two weeks
Oh and if you choose a controller, make absolute sure that its a genuine MS 360 controller

just shot 66 (-6) on Augusta National (Masters Edition)
i had 0-7mph winds with the new wind update and my only dropped shot was on the difficult Par 3 4th.

just had 22-23mph winds on harbor island black. thats worthy of a quit from me. I would definitely practice in those winds.. when HB gives the tournament creator control of the winds, you're definitely going to see some high winds every once in a while in a PGA round. +1 A few tips for the wind. Practice at knowing how far to move the stick to the left and right to get the ball to drop close to the pin. Alternatively, practice how far to adjust your draw/fade to counter the effect of the wind. Personally, I only do the latter if I need to get the ball through a narrow gap or need a straighter angle into the green. When adjusting the wind I use the aiming circle as my gauge. How many circles left or right do I need to adjust my aim, for example. The other tip for the wind is that after I've set up my shot to account for the wind, I usually adjust to hit it a little longer to account for the yardage lost in the arc. For example. If I have 190 yards to the pin with a crosswind from the left at about 4 o'clock I will set up for a shot of about 193-195yds and adjust about 2-2 and 1/2 circles to the left (I think). Once that's set up, I'll add a few more yards to the shot by setting the ball back in my stance just a bit. Of course, this all requires you to practice making the shots and finding out what distances, adjustments, and set-ups are needed for different clubs at different wind speeds and directions. Practice, practice, practice!

well today the problem hasn't been winds, it has been shot accuracy.
what i mean is when i am pushing the stick forwards on my controller i always hit it a bit left and occasionally right but it does this even if i have a slow swing.
i don't look at my controller when swinging because that will just feel weird.

Just played Little Brook Manor which i like to do every now and then just for the feeling of making a lot of birdies. Two things that were good in this round were my record number of birdies in a row (14) and my score (-18)

chocked on 15 huh? Lol, just joking around. Very nice round.
I just finished playing through the 6 q school courses for the first time. +5 overall. I will need to improve on that. That includes a once in a lifetime round at Royal Yeti so it's going to be tough. Whispering River seems to be my major stumbling block so far.

that is still very good mate, i shot +11 my first time and that is terrible so i have even more improving to do, although i think i may have improved already with my yardages etc.
I have definitely improved on how to work out how much i need to take off for elevation or wind.

i give up.
yet again im going along nicely (in q-school at -9 thru 5 events) then i start +3 thru 2 holes on Crawford Mines and that instantly makes me mad. It only ever happens when im going well and i had 2-6mph winds on them holes too so it wasn't that difficult.
i quit that round purely because it would of got much worse with my mind being elsewhere and all that hard work on Copper Creek and Son Gual would of been for nothing. (-2 for both of them)

You should be fortunate. Played Mt. Yeti again and to get par it's like pulling teeth, id be thrilled with -9 thru 5 events and plus 3 on first two holes of last event.
Anyway, didn't really matter if you finish 1st or 125th..tour card is tour card.

i couldn't finish the round as i was +4 thru 12 then 13 decided to put me in a place on the cliff in front of the hole and not allow me to get out so frustrations took over and i quit. i can't continue playing like that, it's ridiculous.
As much as i try to block it all out, it just comes back and bites me, it's so annoying. :@

I was playing some course last night and was in a deep sand trap on a severe down slope and couldn't get it up and out. Good round shot to hell.. I get in trouble when I use my driver. So I've been using it less and less, unless it's a long hole..I go with a wood or 3-iron off the tee.

worse part of my game is probably my long game now (driving)
i seem to always hit it left even if its slightly left which means i have to compensate for it.
it may be my controller or how im using it, i dont know.

Hey everyone, very excited for the qualifying to start. Just finished 3 practice rounds with encouraging results. Mount yeti -2 with 17mph winds, harbor island -3 with 3-4 mph and an unfortunate round on copper creek where I shot +11. Very difficult for my first try but I'm sure I can shoot much much lower as I hit most fairways and greens but didn't account for the speed and slope of the greens. Not sure but I think the winds were around 7mph. With almost 7 weeks to practice I feel scores will be low across the board, should be an awesome challenge. Good luck to all, see you on the links.
