Lets just say I liked yesterday better then before, and before better than today.
Looking for that graphic with the guy eating popcorn, this should make for some fun reading.
Back to my putting green now, over and out.

To early to tell, but early testing had me not dialing in longer distances.

I really think they tried to make it tougher to dial in longer distances on purpose and to make putting a little tougher in general. Which I like... Just like in real life, lag putting should be more difficult. With the spyglass effect before, I could get any putt no matter where I was to less than 2 feet based on math and adjustments with the marker.
I welcome the putting changes.
If you notice, all the top scores on the leaderboard are predominate consoles. Once they get the patch in the day or so they will struggle as well at first -- so enjoy this week's tournament guys! :-) You best get your rounds in now!

just played a round on crazycanadians new double black course, had zero issues putting, was my first round after this 2nd update. I will need more testing, but it seemed good, shot a -13 there, my best round in a while.

Looking forward to try it, hope they found a golden middle. Been 4 hours on my greens, while It's harder to dial in exact precise distances, it's still possible, and the misses are far less now then they were before. So my final thought on the subject would be this is a happy medium for sure. The misses only go by or drop short by a very very small amount unless the miss is a big miss.
Guys/Gals would be well advised to do as Doyley has suggested, move the marker way out on the practice green and try and dial in the distance without the spyglass, if they have done this before the changes should only have little effect and even less effect today then yesterday.
There really is no other option, if you have not done so already, do as suggested above, that's the future of the game. I cannot stress enough the importance of such.
By the way those console patches can take a few weeks if I'm not mistaken.

Just finished a round at Powderfinger now at -10, and it certainly seems like they have done something. OR, I have learned from yesterday... . No, seriously, it seems to be slightly easier to lag it close from a distance, and the short puts are the same, no problems there. Still haveing some wind-issues, as I cant figure out how much to compensate on side-wind, but that will come around with more practice.
Good luck next week!

I really like the changes. I just played a round and I was sinking more 15-20 ft than I ever have. Of course I put the marker off the green and have never done that before, so tbh I don't know if it is the tweaks or putting the marker off the green, but either way it seems my putting has improved a lot!

i havent noticed to much of a change, except i believe the slope is less severe off the putter face which is much better
im kinda putting better now actually, and the putting courses are great fun. i wouldnt have known about them if it wasnt for this patch's outcry

Well, its not as easy as before the patches, I do NOT sink as many long puts as I used to. But after tonights update, I can at least get them to the hole on long puts. Not 15 feet short, or 40 feet long... So, I think they have hit it about proper now. Short puts are no problem, I still cant read the break properly (must be the depth perseption that decives me), but other than that, its nice.

The putting is right where it should be. I have shot good scores with it but its getting the consistency with the changes to the putting that will require a bit of practice.
