Ok, Ill bend a little...
I guess there is a (slight) difference between a putting course and a "real" golf course, so a HIO on a putting course is not as important...
BTW, I thought you were done?
NB, is it my ISP today, or are things going slower here? Takes "forever" to reply...

To put this to rest,I had 6 Aces (All because of the Putting course, never really actually had one) I just went to Colonel Sanders for some Chicken, and the first hole is a par 1. I sunk the putt, on the 2nd Hole John said he was reliving that last hole because of my amazing Hole in one. I left the game checked my stats and I did indeed have 7 Aces. So setting the Par to 1 for all the holes won't alleviate the HIO stat inflation.

I think you are both correct. A par 1 hole in 1 stroke would be a hole-in-one and also par. What the game calls it you will have to check out. I would be surprised it allows you to make a par 1 hole because in golf if a shot is reachable in 1 stroke it would be considered a par 3. There are no par 1's or par 2's in golf unless you are talking about mini-golf and putting it through the pirate's mouth on hole 18. LOL LOL pirate's mouth. in all seriousness, i've played a practice putting course and one of the holes was a Par 1. I holed it and the game registered it as a Par (the 1 was grey on the scorecard) And it was correct, you did make par. But you also made a hole-in-one (ace). I believe in golf you name the performance by the best thing you had. A birdie is 1 under par. An eagle is 2 under par....BUT if you scored an ace on a par 3 you wouldn't call an eagle though by definition it is correct. Nor if you aced a par 4 would you call it an albatross (by definition 3 under par), you would call it an ace or a hole-in-one. So going by that usage of "naming" your performance on a hole I would lean towards calling 1 shot on a par 1 an ace or a hole-in-one. Yes, it still is a par, but you call it the "best" thing it is.
