How will promotions work in Season 4? I start in Euro. Can i earn an exemption with a good result (exemption line)? Or is every promotion handled with the "hot in the last 4 weeks" logic? As i see it, The "World Tour" shouldn't be more or less a "closed club". You should be able to get there with one Top finish in the PGA - a reward for one excellent showing. None of my business at the moment. But still i feel, that it should be the goal for every player to get there - not finding ways to not get there. And simple promotion rules might help with that.
For me atm the promotion rules to Rocher are a bit strict, you need 200+ WGR points in 5 weeks, which is a lot (only 12 people have that many in the last few weeks when we've been playing for WGC/Major points). That's not good in my book. Then the "World Tour" will be more or less a closed club. Top 5 in PGA should give you an exemption imo. Do you - after earning an exemption - have to make the cut (Top 25 on World Tour) to stay there permanently? If this is the case, a lot of guys coming from the PGA will struggle to move up for longer than a week.

The strike line sits at 25 though and double at 50, so it could easily be 3 and out! I think we're getting a bit ahead of ourselves here, it hasn't even started yet! The impression I get is they don't want the Rocher to be a closed club, if what they initially put in place isn't working they'll tweak it.

Naaah, it's all good, let's play! If the top end of PGA really is that strong they'll soon move up, and the ones struggling in the Rocher Premier will come down. I'm actually quite looking forward to the new structure now I've got my head around it, just got to accept the small fact that it no longer reflects the real tours. It's a bit like having the FedEx every week up top. I'm very happy to have comfortably qualified for the PGA, now just got to make sure I stay there! And who knows, might just have a good few weeks here and there and get to have a crack at the big boys. It would be a bit like Bristol City going on a good run in the Cup, fun while it lasts but always brought crashing back to reality eventually Very happy to see some of my regular Xbox ghost rivals up there too, especially now they're fixing the leaderboards and I can go back for a few turn based 3 balls for my Tour rounds. Congo, Ronny Akesson, Taff, Martyn Clarke, Ant Murray, I will be doing my usual mixture of trying to beat you while cheering you on at the same time! Just need our Digs to get his arse in gear now and join us. Best of luck for season 4 everyone. All change, but it's still going to be good. Be the ball! Jamie I couldn't see clarkeys name on the list or have I missed it?? Anyway glad am in PGA been some long hours to actually play better than I did in tgc1. Onwards and upwards. And yeh Jamie too having Mr best, Murray and akesson in the mix on Xbox makes all the more fun to push each other. Let the fun begin!!

It probably won't have any relevance for me anyway - i am not good enough. I just want the Tours to be active - no closed shops. If you have to "qualify" over 5 weeks and reach a certain amount of WGR points .... it just feels too complicated for me.

The other side of that coin is that most of that PGA field is capable of shooting the lights out one week and getting a good result, doesn't mean they necessarily belong in the Rocher. This system will reward more consistent good shooting, I've got no problems with that. And yes xcltaff1980, he's there. #ShouldveGoneToSpecsavers

How could you not want to play in the highest tour you can get in??? I would rather be a small fish swimming in the sea rather than a big fish in a pond.

Doesn't help the list looks like a Welsh train station. Had to look 4times for my name.

Shout out to shootermcgavin for getting me using the left stick. I was about to call it quits as I wasn't worthy for the Web Tour 2 weeks ago but this has reinvigorated me. I'm confident in my abilities and plan on working my way back up.

Looks like I got a demotion to Web on the final week of the season after missing every cut although I did finish every time. I've technially gone down 3 levels but I don't even think I'll make cuts on the web tour but we will see.

Welcome back to the tours I haven’t seen you post in a while or is that because you’ve been on a higher tour than me. I’m in CC A now 😂😂

Trying not be a pedant...but what is happening to the players that have left the tour Griffin Ray, jeffjeter etc. They are on the PGA tour but have either left or on hiatus. Only saying as I missed out on the Rocher div 2 by 4 spaces. Not trying to screw things up, cus I'm sure to stink up div3 as much as I usually do.
Just after some clarification.

#inb4apiscrub Good luck in the new season all! Seems I'll have to find new rivalries as Thomas didn't make it! 😳 Gavin will be there and a few others. I'm ready to see how long it takes for ke to go down to PGA. I just REFUSE to play this game at all other than tour rounds. #hightimes I'll try and finish ahead of you week in and week out. How's that? For the last 18 months one of my main "rivalries" is trying to finish within 5 strokes of Hammond. Got a t3 this past week and still finished 10 shots back of the motha.... Think my weekly goal will be to beat daxon..... Think I can do that, try and stay ahead of Comley, and somehow beat Bob which I don't see happening all while trying not to finish 49th.... Sigh the pressures of rocher are getting to me

Looks like a good chunk of us Euro Tour idiots made it into Rocher Division 2. Guess my goal for season 4 will be to avoid getting demoted. Stretch goal of getting a top 10, have a feeling I'll still be 30 shots off the lead and around the cut line. Meet the new tour, same as the old tour. Does Generic_Casual know you stole his avatar?? I made it for him, but seeing as he isn't using it I figured I'd borrow it before getting relegated to Rocher Division 3. 75 more posts until 5000 Bob. I think you can do that today.
