So was my ranking, and yet I am deemed worthy and edi_vedder isn't I do sympathize for Thomas' plight, but you qualify under both the Top 25 WGR argument and the top 50 "Hottest last 5 weeks", Jack. Sorry. Yeah, to be fair I'm not saying I shouldn't be on it (despite how much I don't want to be ).
Just find it odd that everything else around here is sorted mainly by ranking and this has been done off the back of who's been hot for a few weeks

The PGA list is a who's who of TGC1 legends - if even half of them get their **** together on TGC2 the PGA will be stronger than Rocher.
Which would be funny And then most of them would move up to the Rocher Tour in due time. I do understand that you don't like the restructure, but you have to understand that some of your logic is flawed, even if your argument about not liking the new structure is legit.

Split them 25/25 like Thomas suggests and those just off of the top tour will work themselves up sooner than later probably.

Forgetting my personal feelings, It's really about numbers. PGA field of 140 is too deep to be competitive from top to bottom. There will always be 6-10 at the top who really belong at the elite level.

Looks like I escaped the World tour by the skin of my teeth - thanks to Doyley not being rubbish enough over the past few weeks!
Will be interesting to see how things pan out over the next few months, and I can definitely understand why some don't want to be in the top tour. I wouldn't have been happy if I'd have made it at this point!
Bring on Sunday!

No tour here at TGCT is competitive from top to bottom, and most every tour except for CC-Z and TST is 120 players give or take. My point is that those 5-10 near the top will (mostly) move up the the World Tour in this case. You may not believe it, but I think Admin wants the WTour to be more than 50 players.. more like 60 on a regular basis.

No tour here at TGCT is competitive from top to bottom, Well, that is how this idea was sold - so we'll see if it's worth buying

Yes I'm sceptical, but I think you already knew that

Naaah, it's all good, let's play! If the top end of PGA really is that strong they'll soon move up, and the ones struggling in the Rocher Premier will come down. I'm actually quite looking forward to the new structure now I've got my head around it, just got to accept the small fact that it no longer reflects the real tours. It's a bit like having the FedEx every week up top. I'm very happy to have comfortably qualified for the PGA, now just got to make sure I stay there! And who knows, might just have a good few weeks here and there and get to have a crack at the big boys. It would be a bit like Bristol City going on a good run in the Cup, fun while it lasts but always brought crashing back to reality eventually Very happy to see some of my regular Xbox ghost rivals up there too, especially now they're fixing the leaderboards and I can go back for a few turn based 3 balls for my Tour rounds. Congo, Ronny Akesson, Taff, Martyn Clarke, Ant Murray, I will be doing my usual mixture of trying to beat you while cheering you on at the same time! Just need our Digs to get his arse in gear now and join us. Best of luck for season 4 everyone. All change, but it's still going to be good. Be the ball!

How will promotions work in Season 4?
I start in Euro. Can i earn an exemption with a good result (exemption line)? Or is every promotion handled with the "hot in the last 4 weeks" logic?
As i see it, The "World Tour" shouldn't be more or less a "closed club". You should be able to get there with one Top finish in the PGA - a reward for one excellent showing. None of my business at the moment. But still i feel, that it should be the goal for every player to get there - not finding ways to not get there. And simple promotion rules might help with that.

What is a ghost rival? ππ I'm guessing that is a light hearted dig at the slightly touchy subject of people playing against ghosts? It's the most fun I have with the game, especially with the multiplayer lacking so much. I've had some great battles with the above (and a few others) in the past. Only ever do it for my Tour rounds, never play meteor trails (they put me off) always turn based, usually a 3 ball for the first two rounds and a 2 ball for the last two against someone around me (just ahead preferably) on the leaderboard. I don't always have the time in which case I just play on my own, but for me it adds something to the already more intense feel to a Tour round. Just saying....

Exemption line on Euro is 10%, so assuming a field of 100, Top 10 then make the cut on the PGA to move up permanently would be my understanding.
For me atm the promotion rules to Rocher are a bit strict, you need 200+ WGR points in 5 weeks, which is a lot (only 12 people have that many in the last few weeks when we've been playing for WGC/Major points).
So if the PGA is far easier to get into than to get out of (a bit like a marriage ) there could be a log jam. Can see the logic of making Rocher hard to qualify for but if the PGA is too full it would defeat the object.

But is it 200 points in the last 5 weeks or 200 points total? Either way if it's wrong I'm sure they'll tweak it, they want 50-65 in the Rocher Premier, not 40! Love how everyone is calling it the Rocher by the way, I think that one is going to stick!
