This thread proves the rule: if you let a thread go on for long enough, eventually we cycle back to the interminable club type debate. I'm fine with letting whoever use whatever set they want if it means we can stop having this pointless debate over and over and over.

I'm at the point where I say mandatory standard clubs is the way to go. Since it is impossible to come up with a solution that makes most people happy you might as well go for the one that makes most people unhappy.

I hate to give up on Tour Clubs, but I also vote all clubs. I can't seem to get consistency with Tour clubs and I'm finding myself less interested in the game because it's just not fun with tour clubs for me. I don't have the time to practice for a video golf game. DO you not want the game to be as realistic as possible? being realistic would involve not hitting 100% of shots straight. I like the variance of my shots not always going straight ad it brings a more real feeling to the game just how real life golf is. pointless to me hitting every shot straight and scoring -56 every week. being at our level you have something to improve on week in week out. The issue with this is you can't have realistic play/scoring AND compete with the full time gamers shooting -50 every week.
I'd much rather everyone struggle to break par and it be a great achievement to shoot -20 for 4 rounds, and to be fair, thats what it's like for me at the moment, and that is more realistic for me, but i'm still 30 shots behind Brad and co, who clearly have the ability to hit every shot more or less straight, always avoid the rough, hazards, always leave themselves straightforward putts.
The point is, no matter how easy or difficult the game is, the best players will always find a way to be miles better than everyone else.

When you give people choices with differing results you'll always have a debate. In TGC1 you had the "Hard" setting but the level of risk reward was so finite there was no sense even trying to use it. In TGC2 the risk reward level is off the charts once you get the hang of Tour clubs. The debate of which clubs to allow is only really a debate for those struggling to use the Tour clubs. Once you get the hang of Tours...even somewhat..the game is much easier to play and actually quite enjoyable(at times)

You had so much trouble hitting straight with TGC 1, how are you able to do that with a game that's so much harder to hit straight with? This one has me totally baffled.

It was my controller. I made the investment and put the money towards an X-Box Elite controller and the rest is history. I struggled at 1st with the new game too. As soon as I bought the new controller straight out of the box my game improved immensely. Put the money where it was needed and bought a good controller. Sure it was pricey, but in order to enjoy the game it was the best purchase I've made for gaming thus far.

I have installed an MS 360 wired and wireless, PS4 wireless, Xbox One standard wireless, and Xbox One Elite wireless on Windows 10. I can't imagine any legitimate controller not installing on any recent PC using either Windows 7 or 10......

I just opened the box...plugged it in(I play with it wired with the usb cord provided) and away it went

All I know is I plugged it in and Windows started looking for the driver and couldn't find it and it wouldn't install. I suspect I know what the problem is after getting a new XBox 1 and having the same problem but I'd already returned it and I'm not getting another one in case I'm wrong.
